"Wala. Nandyan ka naman eh," Molly replied, glancing at Cali with a faint smile.

The girls decided to wake up early to finally go surfing since they had to check out by 12 noon. The sun was just beginning to rise, and the sound of the waves was already calling to them.

Inside Meg and her friends' room, they were all bustling around, getting ready to go. The excitement of the upcoming surf session was palpable, but a heavy silence hung over Jade. Shannon was the first to notice.

"Jade, bat ang tahimik mo?" Shannon asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Oo nga. Kahapon ka pa walang kibo," Meg agreed, pausing as she zipped up her wetsuit.

"Baka inaway ni Sadie," Cali teased, smirking, but Jade gave her a meaningful look that spoke volumes.

"Mga tukmol talaga kayo. Mahal ako ni Sadie. Di palang niya narerealize," Jade said, laughing as she shook her head, but her eyes betrayed a deeper sadness.

"Let's go?" Meg said, heading towards the door.

"Una na kayo, sunod ako," Cali said, pretending to look for something in her bag.

"Hintayin ko na si Cali, una na kayong dalawa," Jade added, gently pushing Meg and Shannon toward the door.

As the door closed behind them, the room seemed to grow quieter. Cali turned to Jade, concern etched on her face. "Kailan mo pa alam?"

Jade's shoulders slumped, and she looked down, her eyes welling up with unshed tears. "Kahapong umaga nung nakicharge ako sa 'yo. Pagkatanggal ko sa phone mo nakita ko 'yung mga notifications galing sa kanya."

Meg and Aliya sat on the beach, watching their friends surf.

Aliya hugged her knees, still a bit shaken from the day before. Meg stayed close, making sure she wasn't alone.

"Anong favorite mong place dito sa Philippines?" Meg asked, breaking the silence.

Aliya thought for a moment. "Boracay or Coron siguro. Mas chill sa Bora pero special kasi 'yung Coron sa 'kin," she said with a smile.

Meg's eyes lit up.

"Ikaw?"

"Maganda nga sa Coron pero parang mas gusto ko rin Boracay," Meg replied. Aliya pouted, making Meg laugh.

"Di mo favorite Coron, Baguio, or LU?"

Meg shook her head. "Honestly, hindi eh. Sa Coron kasi pangit 'yung timing natin, tapos dito naman sa LU muntik nang may mangyari sa 'yo. Sa Baguio, hmm sakto lang din."

Aliya's eyes softened. "Sige. Since gusto natin both sa Boracay, pag pumunta tayo dun, sisiguraduhin kong magiging masaya tayo," she promised.

Meg's heart warmed. "Deal," she said, holding Aliya's hand. The idea of a future trip to Boracay filled them with hope.

As they watched their friends surf, the sound of the waves became a calming background. The beach around them started to wake up with other early risers, but for Meg and Aliya, it felt like they were in their own little world.
