Chapter 12: Courting Stage 🔞

"Natiturn on ako," Meg confessed, her voice barely above a whisper.

It's been a week since Meg and Aliya returned to the Philippines from their trip to Thailand. The idol had been incredibly busy, juggling her studies and training sessions.

"Miss na miss ko na siya," Meg sighed after taking a sip of her frappe. She was sitting with Cali, Jade, and Shannon at a Starbucks across from Aliya's school.

"Inaraw-araw mo na nga, namimiss mo pa?" Jade teased, rolling her eyes.

After their trip, Meg had been picking Aliya up from school and driving her to training, but the idol usually asked Meg to stop at the corner of the street so that the other LUNA members wouldn't see them together. They still hadn't talked about their situation, especially considering Molly had feelings for Meg.

Molly had been discharged from the hospital after just a day. Although her friends didn't really know what her diagnosis was, they respected Molly's decision not to share. They only knew that she needed to keep going to the hospital for regular check-ups.

"Magkikita kami ni Molly mamaya," Cali chimed in. "Treat ko lang siya sa labas kasi hindi raw pwede 'tong si Meg. Okay na rin na 2nd option kesa wala sa choices," she added, shaking her head.

"Saket?" Shannon teased, earning a playful push from Cali. Cali then hit her on the head, making Meg and Jade laugh.

"Aray! Masakit!" Shannon exclaimed, rubbing her head.

"Parang iba ata ihip ng hangin ngayon at may pa-flowers ka?" Jade said, noticing the bouquet Meg had with her. Meg just gave them a mysterious smile.

The atmosphere around the table was light-hearted, but Meg's thoughts were elsewhere, lost in memories of Thailand. The golden temples, the gentle touch of Aliya's hand, and the unspoken promises they shared filled her mind. She longed for the next moment she could steal away with Aliya, even if it was just for a brief kiss or a shared smile.

After a few minutes, Meg's eyes lit up as she saw Aliya entering.

Napakaganda talaga, she thought.

"Hi!" Aliya greeted them cheerfully.

"Flowers for you. Pero sorry ah..." Meg said but didn't continue her sentence, leaving Aliya confused.

"Thanks! Sorry saan?"

"Sorry kasi wala akong mahanap na flowers na mas maganda sayo," Meg said, her eyes sparkling with sincerity.

"Kadiri! Umalis na nga kayo!" Cali shouted playfully.

Meg and Aliya laughed, looking carefully at each other, both blushing.

"Let's go?" Meg asked.

"Bye!" the group bid goodbye to the two lovebirds, while Meg and Aliya nodded back at them.

As they walked towards the parking lot, Meg's hand itched to hold Aliya's, but she refrained. Unlike in Thailand, Aliya was famous here, and they needed to be extra careful.

Meg opened the passenger door for Aliya, who looked at the vehicle in surprise.

"Bagong sasakyan?" the idol asked, eyeing the black Jeep Rubicon.

"Luma na 'to. Ito 'yung pangcamping ko. Tsaka coding kasi 'yung lagi kong gamit," Meg replied nonchalantly.

Grabe pala talagang yaman nitong future jowa ko. Future jowa?! Aliya thought to herself, a smile creeping onto her face.
