Chapter 5: Mr. Alba

"Siya nga! Hello, Aliya!"

"Hi!" the idol greeted her fans.

"Pwede pong magpapicture?" the teenage girl said, while her friends were all smiling beside her.

"Of course!" Aliya said.

"Ako na magpicture," Meg offered.

The group posed with their idol as the redhead took multiple pictures. After the picture-taking, they couldn't help but ask Meg, "Magka ano-ano po kayo? Artist din po kayo?"

"Ahhmm, I'm not an artist," she answered, smiling, not knowing how to answer the first question.

"Bestfriend ko siya," Aliya butted in.

"Ahh. Kaya po pala ang sweet niyo. Akala po namin magjowa kayo hehe," one of the teenagers said, making the two ladies blush.

Aliya and Meg decided to swim while the waves were not too high. They swam away from the shore to have their alone time.

"That was close," the redhead mumbled, as they stopped, enough for their feet to still touch the sand below.

"Okay lang naman sa 'kin. Naisip ko lang ikaw..." Aliya said.

"Hindi naman niya malalaman sa sobrang busy niya," Megan said, looking sad.

"Oh. Wag ka nang sad dyan baka makiss kita bigla," the idol said, making Meg laugh.

"Gusto mo talaga ako? Di kasi ako makapaniwala. Sobrang crush na kasi kita dati pa. Tinatanong ko pa nga si Jessy before if magkaron ng chance pwede ba kitang jowain with her blessing. Pero syempre di siya payag," Megan shared.

"Sira ka talaga... Gustong-gusto po. Ayaw na nga kitang pakawalan pero ayaw ko rin maging selfish," Aliya said, with eyes full of pain.

Megan looked towards the shore and then back at Aliya. She breathed heavily before speaking.

"Ayaw kitang paasahin ah. Matagal ko na kasing naiisip na iwan siya. Nakikipagbreak nga ako sa kanya tuwing nahihirapan ako dati," Meg chuckled.

Aliya was just listening to her and decided to let the redhead finish talking before saying anything.

"Pero dahil dun sa ginagawa kong yun, feel ko nauubos din siya. Kaya di ko na ginagawa yun. Ung mga travel ko, para makatakas sa mga problems niya na problems ko na rin. Ikakasal na kami eh."

Ang sakit naman non. Di talaga ako parte ng mundo niya, Aliya told herself.

"Ang sakit... ewan ko ba bat ganito ung epekto mo sa 'kin," Aliya said.

"Sorry if nasasaktan ka. Nasasaktan din ako kasi gustong-gusto ko rin na akin ka nalang. Pero naisip ko rin na if iwan ko siya for you, ready ka ba? Kasi gusto kong magkafamily at di na ako bata."

Aliya wanted to tell her that she would do anything just to be with her, but she would be lying. Her career was just starting, and building a family was not in her plans yet.

Megan noticed that Aliya was lost in her thoughts. She wanted to kiss her and just hold her, but she knew she was already doing a lot that was damaging her current relationship with Jessy.
