Sam and Cas crept through the warehouse. It had taken them 3 hours to arrive to the small town where bodies have been dropping completely drained of blood. He wanted to get this over with so that they could get home.

"Sam I know you are worried, but can you please focus?"

Sma snapped out of his thoughts, looking over at Castiel, who was giving him a very annoyed look.

"Sorry. I just....I don't like him being there alone."

Cas groaned, looking very much like he wanted to throw his hands in the air.

"For the hundredth time. He is not there alone. Dean is there with him. You just don't like him being there without you."

"Can you blame me?"

Sam snapped. Cas knew he had touched a nerve and back peddled slightly.

"No. But you need to focus. The quicker we kill this vampire, the quicker we can get home."

Sam nodded, letting out a frustrated huff. It wasn't cas's fault that sam had to go and Gabe stayed behind. He turned his focus back to the task at hand. They crept through the isle of junk piled around. He could smell blood. Taking the lead, he tightened his grip on the machete, creeping towards an open door. They had heard screams when they were outside, but it was silent now. Sam peeked through the door, catching sight of the lone vampire who looked to be finishing her meal. Sam motioned to Cas, and both men flew through the door. Sam quickly swung his blade, taking the head off the vamp in one go. Cas immediately went to the victim on the floor, shaking his head to signal that she was dead. Sam nodded turning to leave the room. Cas followed a few minutes later, smoke coming from the doorway, implying that Cas had burned the bodies.

Sam made his way back to the car, his mind wandering back to his angel. Even though it had only been a few hours, he was missing him. They had hardly been apart the past few weeks. Sam wanted to get back to the cozy cocoon of Gabriel and his wings. He had noticed the way Gabriel let them be seen at all times now, and how the angel seemed to vibrate with energy when ever he would run his fingers through them. It made him very happy that he was allowed to play with them, especially after knowing what Asmodeus would do to them in hell. Sam was always gentle with thee wings when he touched them, but that didn't mean that he always wanted to be. Even if they didn't talk about it, Sam knew that Gabriel was aware of the turn his dreams had taken.  He woke up every morning either stiff or sticky. And I'm those dreams, Sam was not gentle with the angel or his wings, but he wouldn't tell Gabe that. They had only officially been dating for a couple weeks now, and they had never done anything beyond innocent kisses and cuddling while they slept. Sam didn't know how to bring up the subject.  Obviously they both had trauma surrounding sexual encounters, and Sam wasn't 100% sure that he was ready to go that far with Gabriel yet, but God was he frustrated. He was growing tired of the cold showers every morning, when what he really wanted was to be able to roll over and take care of his problem with the one who caused it.

"Sam?"

Sam jumped, not having notices Castiel walking up to him. Damn it, he needed to get his thoughts under control.

"Are you ready to go?"

"Yes."

They got in the car, heading back home. Cas figured now was a good time to bring up his side of the conversation that Dean had wanted him to ask about.

"Sam are you and Gabriel mated?"

Sam jerked the wheel in surprise, almost going off the road. He corrected the car and slowed down in case Cas had any other surprises for him.

"What the hell Cas? Why would you even ask that?"

"You touch his wings."

Cas said it so matter of fact. Sam pulled over, turning the car off and looking at him.
