Yesterday was the last day of school before break, today is the 19th of December, and in 2 days on the 21st is Gio's birthday.
I didn't know what to make him so I had to call in some help from Mass, apparently he loves cooking, I got him a little gift basket, with a nice new pan, some socks, and his favorite candies.
But right now I'm on my way to the Alvarez house, for you guessed it another sleepover. This time we have another few people coming as well. A guy named Jakov Matic and two girls named Lea and Emma Klein. Emma and Jakov are 19, Lea is 17, apparently they were raised with the Varga, Alvarez, Solomon and Wonda kids.
Their parents are business partners, which they have explained the whole, 'underground' world kind of thing. The alliances and who's in them and where our families stand and everything it was very helpful.
Dad and I broke the news to Gabby and Julie, they took it well, they were really surprised though, like who wouldn't be surprised to learn their family is a mafia family. And not just in the mafia, we are the mafia!
Ali picked me up again, this time the Klein's and Zoltan were three as well, the car just stopped we all get out and walk inside.
"Oh Adri, this is Jakov, Jakov this is Adrianna." Marco introduces us and we both give smiles, he seems nice enough.
"Ok guys let's make pizzas first get them in the oven then we can start some games and a movie, does that work for everyone?" Chloe brings the attention to her and we all agree with her plan, following her into the kitchen Marco throws his arm around my shoulder.
I look up and smile at him, I still haven't gotten the sound of him calling me tipsy at midnight thinking he wasn't good enough for me. The pin in his voice had replayed in my head over and over for the past two weeks.
Chloe premade dough, so we all start to roll it out, I motion for Marco is some here because he's a few people away from me.
We walks up behind me wrapping his arms around my waist, his head in the crook of my neck. "Do you wanna make one together? I'm not very hungry." I turn my head to talk to him, my voice at a whisper so no one hears, but loud enough so he can hear me over the music Ali is blasting.
His faces almost drops but he nods, we knead the dough his hands on mine. Us giggling for no apparent reason.
"Are they dating?" I hear Emma I think ask Ali, Marco and I don't look up but we can hear them perfectly.
"Not official but yeah." Emma squeals, exited for us, I smile to myself, maybe one day.
Once the dough is in a circle we put on sauce. "No not too much it's gonna be all sloppy." I laugh at Marco's comments.
"Ok fine." I playfully roll my eyes and giggle. "Have some cheese." I grab some cheese for the pizza popping some in his mouth.
I wrap my arms around his neck as he finishes the pizza, adding pepperoni and extra cheese. "Up." I look up when Marco speaks, his hands pock at the back of my thighs right below my ass.
I jump up and he catches me taking me to the couch in the living room, some are already here and the rest of the group is following us.
Marco sits down with me on his lap, my face in the nape of his neck, arms around his chest. My legs straddled over his lap, his hands running through my hair.
"Ok guys it's either top gun-"
"Top gun." I feel everyone look over at me, it's top gun come on!
"Ok, og or Maverick or both in order?" Chloe is now just talking to me, I'm the only one who gave their opinion so I guess it's my choice.
"Both in chronological order." Damn chronological order look at me with my big words. Marco rubs my back, as we watch, well everyone watches and listen to the movie.
"Come on I need to show you something." Marco whispers in my ear, I slowly get up not wanting to but Marco has a surprise I need to.
Marco leads me out of the living room quietly trying not to disturb anyone, he grabs my hand walking fast down the hallway, I have to jog to keep up. I giggle all the way down and as he pulls me into a room shutting the door.
He throws me on the bed kissing, I kiss back till he gets a little too handy. I pull away pushing him back slightly. "We're not having sex, Marco." He looks at me, stuttering over his words. "I wasn't gonna, i promise." I smile at him tears start to prick my eyes. I feel my chin quivering, Marco's face turns soft.
"Hey, what's wrong." I cry into his shoulder him pulling me on his lap.
"Thank you, for not getting mad." I feel his shoulders drop with disappointment.
"I would never force you, ok?" I look up at him nodding, his hand on my cheek, wiping my tears with his thumb.
We sit there for a while, just looking at each other.
"Let's make it official." His voice is so quiet I can't tell if I heard him right.
"What?"
"Let's make it official, we're already acting like we're dating let's just do it." The biggest smile forms on my face, I grab his face smashing my lips into his.
"Is that a yes?" He asks pulling away making me laugh. "Yes!" I kiss him again, smiling into it.
"But we should get back otherwise they might think we're fucking." I giggle, leading him out. He has his arm around me and my arms around his waist as we walk back in.
"There are the love birds." Chloe shoots Zoltan a look and Ali elbows him in the stomach. "No it's fine, it's official now." Marco says looking at me, I stand on my tippy toes kiss hold in front of everyone.
Siri, Ali, Chloe, Emma and Lea all squeal, Zoltan whistles at us. We both laugh pulling away taking seat on the couch, Marco lays down and I climb in between him and the cushion. My head on his chest and arms around his waist, his around mine.
The movie hits like always, we end up playing monopoly and watch him top gun for hours, Marco got mad at me for not eating any pizza or candy or popcorn or really anything at all. He even said he'd cut up fruit but I declined.
I get a text from Gabby telling me to call her. I step out of the room and find her contact pressing call. The phone rings a few times before she picks up.
"Adri!"
"McKenna!" I yell jumping up and down, well holding my phone, I'm standing in view of the living room and can see my friends laughing at me.
"Oh my god! When did you get here?!" I make eye contact with Marco smiling bright.
"Like 10 minutes ago, where are you." She yells into the phone, making me laugh.
"I'm at my friend Mar- Olivia's house for a sleepover!" I almost said Marco but caught myself, I can't have anything not line up.
We talk for a little bit longer before I hang up and walk back in the room. "Who's Olivia?" Chloe is laughing at my cover.
"She's you guys." I point at them sitting down next to Marco. "You still haven't told your family?" I shake my head no. "When they found out I even talked to you my dad yelled at me and some of my brothers didn't talk to me for days, I'll tell them soon but I wanna sob story them so they'll take it better." I shrugs taking a seat on Marco's lap leaning into him.
