Chapter 3: Milkshake

"Jo, ano ba. Kulang na lang maglaway ka." Pau nudged me as we stood here inside the scrub room. I only giggled.

I have another case with Tupe who is currently scrubbing in the stainless steel sink, washing his hands and forearms. Kahit na may libreng space sa gilid ni Tupe ay hindi muna ako mags-scrub-in, usually kasi ay sabay kami ni Nurse Pau na mag-scrub. It's our work-bestie-thing.

And so, we're standing here, waiting. While Pau is scrolling on social media, I am gawking at Tupe. Ang sarap-sarap naman kasing tingnan ni Ciervo. His tattoos are stretched on his skin because of his muscles, I wonder if his abs have tattoos too.

Hindi pa rin ako maka-move sa ginawa niya sa gallery kasi ang laki talaga be. Ganoon ba talaga ang mga Spaniard, maybe I should ask him kung may mga pinsan siya back in Spain to prove my hypothesis? But then again, I have a feeling he wouldn't like that.

I was taken aback about what he did but I know dåmn well he only did it as a joke. He pushed me off his lap after that and has only said my name once.

Now it makes me wonder what is it with my name that sets him off like that? I am starting to get curious.

And I don't know if he was serious about his other threats. I guess we still have yet to see.

Somehow, I am excited to test him.

I licked my lower lip.

"Jo, nakita mo na ba 'tong 'Hawk Tuah' meme?" She said and showed me the post.

"Yep." I grinned after I took a peek on her phone. "I make the same noise when I spit on it but I let him hold my hair back." Dagdag ko pa.

I have never actually put a díck in my mouth but I want to mess with Tupe.

"Jooo, ano ba!" Hinampas ako ni Pau before she pocketed her phone and started walking towards the scrub sink since tapos si Tupe.

Habang tumatawa naman ako ay dumapo na sa akin ang tingin ni Tupe, well, tingin is an understatement since kulang na lang ay bumulagta ako sa sama ng tingin niya sa akin. His hands were up to keep them sterile, the water droplets drip down his forearm.

"Ito namang baby ko, galit na naman." Nakangisi kong pang-aasar at lumapit sa kanya. I couldn't touch him since sterile na siya. "Sinabi ko naman sa'yo, hindi lang ikaw ang boyfriend ko. Maybe I can show you sometimes kung ano 'yung natutunan ko sa kanila." I winked at him.

His jaw clenched as his blue eyes darkened even more. He grunted before he started walking into the OR.

I turned on tne faucet next to my bestie. She had that teasing smile as she scrubbed her hands with the soapy sponge.

"If I didn't know any better, I would think that that man is about ready to put you in a wheelchair because of how much you tease him."

I laughed loudly.

"In his dreams."

"Doc Jo, tingnan mo, nagve-vape ako oh." Violet said and blew the 'smoke' from the nebulizer she was using as she lay on the hospital bed.

"Sure. I won't tell the other doctors." I winked at her as I stood at the foot of her bed.

Natawa naman siya.

Hindi nagtagal ay dumating na ang mga resident doctors, med student, the nurse who is assigned to Violet, and then of course, Tupe. When I stood next to him, his intoxicating scent flooded my nose.
