"So, what's your name?"Heeseung, Sunoo, and Jungwon gathered around Ni-ki, who was still adjusting to his new reality.
"Ni-ki"
The atmosphere was tense, and the air heavy with unspoken words and conflicting emotions. Heeseung stepped forward, trying to maintain a calm demeanor.
"Ni-ki," Heeseung began, "we understand that this is all new to you. Becoming a vampire is a big change, but we're here to help you understand and adapt. We can teach you everything you need to know."
Sunoo nodded in agreement. "Yes, and we can also help you control your new abilities and cravings. We're not your enemies; but can be your allies."
Ni-ki looked at them, his expression a mix of confusion and determination. "I appreciate your help, but I'm a hunter. I took an oath to protect humans from vampires. I can't just abandon that, even if I am one now."
Jungwon's eyes narrowed, frustration bubbling beneath the surface. "So you're saying you'd rather stick to an outdated oath than side us?"
Ni-ki's jaw clenched, his resolve unyielding. "I have a duty to uphold. I can't betray my comrades, even if I've become what I once hunted."
Jungwon stepped closer, his voice tinged with anger. "You're unbelievable. After everything we've done for you, after saving your life, you repay us like this? You're ungrateful."
Ni-ki's eyes flashed with a mix of guilt and defiance. "It's not about gratitude. It's about principles. I can't turn my back on everything I've stood for."
Jungwon's patience snapped. "Principles? Your principles are outdated and misguided. You're a vampire now, like it or not. The least you could do is show some loyalty to the people who saved you."
Ni-ki's expression softened for a moment, doubt flickering in his eyes, but he quickly hardened his resolve. "I'm sorry, but I can't side with you."
Jungwon shook his head in disbelief, his voice low and filled with disdain. "You disgust me. You're so blinded by your precious oath that you can't see the bigger picture. You're a coward."
The words hung heavily in the air, and Ni-ki looked away, unable to meet Jungwon's piercing gaze. Heeseung stepped in, trying to diffuse the situation.
"Enough, Jungwon," Heeseung said gently. "Ni-ki has made his decision. We cannot force him to stay."
Sunoo sighed, looking at Ni-ki with a mixture of disappointment and pity. "I hope you realize what you're turning your back on, Hunter Kid."
With that, the trio turned away from Ni-ki, leaving him to grapple with his conflicting loyalties.
As they exited the cabin, Jungwon couldn't help but mutter under his breath, "I hope you can live with yourself."
The door closed behind them, and Ni-ki was left alone in the dim light, his heart heavy with the weight of his choices.
He looked around and it was a apartment. There was a picture on the wall, with four people.Ni-ki identified each one of them. So the werewolf is their friend.
He contemplated whether he should inform the centre about this but decided against it. Keeping their place and identities a secret was the least he could do for them.
His phone buzzed in his pocket, and he pulled it out to see Jay's name flashing on the screen. He hesitated, then answered the call.
"Where did you go without informing me?" Jay's voice was stern, almost angry. "You need to come back immediately."
Ni-ki glanced around the apartment, feeling the weight of the decision he had just made. He looked at the blood pack, now empty on the table, and the scattered papers and books. He sighed deeply, running a hand through his hair.
