A/N: Sunoo is my favourite in the chapter :))

As the group trudged along the dense forest path, Lin's cloaking spell kept them hidden from any prying eyes, but it didn't do much to shield them from the chill in the air. The tension from their mission weighed heavily on them.

Sunoo said there was a place they could stay at and that it was spacious enough for all of them, plus, no food shortage.

So, they were on their way to that place. Heeseung said that they needed to train a little and keep their physical strength well because they will need it when they return to the main building.

Jay slowed his pace to walk alongside Sunghoon, casting a sideways glance at him. "Hey," he started, his tone almost too casual, "how come you can't turn into a werewolf? I know I asked before but I'm asking again."

Sunghoon shot him a withering look. "I just can't, Jay. It's not that complicated."

Jay's eyebrows shot up in exaggerated surprise. "Not complicated? C'mon, it's literally your thing. It's like a vampire saying they forgot how to drink blood. Are you sure it's not some deep-seated trauma? Did a fluffy dog scare you as a kid?"

Sunghoon rolled his eyes, clearly not in the mood. "There's no trauma. I just can't turn into a wolf, okay? End of discussion."

Heeseung and Sunoo exchanged a quick, knowing glance.

But Jay wasn't about to let it go. "I'm just saying, it's a shame. Your wolf was really beautiful, you know? Blue and Purple, all majestic."

Sunghoon stopped in his tracks and gave Jay a long, hard look. "It was better when you were all angry and blasting out at me. . . .you're annoying now."

Jay eyes turned to a different emotion and Sunghoon regretted telling anything. "I'm sorry okay? I had a weird dream and I was on edge. I didn't mean to yell at you like that."

"Okay. . . .I didn't mind, I was kidding." Sunghoon cleared his throat walking a bit ahead of Jay.

Sunghoon decided he'll ask something. "Why aren't you feeding on blood? Isn't it about time you sink your fangs into something?"

Heeseung jumped in, his voice calm but with a hint of concern. "Sunghoon, are you feeling dizzy at all? Any weakness?"

"No," Sunghoon replied quickly, maybe a little too quickly. "I'm fine. Why are you asking?"

Jay's grinned, sensing an opportunity to mess with Sunghoon even more. "Maybe he thinks you want some blood too? Wanna taste?"

Sunghoon shook his head, exasperated. "I'm half a vampire too, you know."

Jay laughed, throwing his hands up in mock surrender. "Okay, okay, I get it. You don't like the teasing but c'mon,'A vampire too' ?you didn't have to say that to shut me up."

Heeseung spoke up, his voice taking on a more serious tone. "Actually. . . .he is half-vampire, half-werewolf."

"Sorry?" Jay's laughter faded as he processed this new information, his eyes widening in disbelief. "Wait, what? You're serious? How is that even possible?"

Heeseung glanced at Sunghoon, then back at Jay. "It's complicated. But it's real."

Jay stared at Sunghoon, all traces of humor gone from his expression. "I... I didn't know. I mean, I didn't think that was even an option."
