Sunghoon drifted in a haze, his mind suspended between sleep and consciousness, his thoughts spinning in a blur.

Darkness surrounded him, a suffocating, endless black that made it hard to tell if he was awake or still trapped in a nightmare.

Why couldn't he see anything? Was he still dreaming? He tried to move, to reach out, but something heavy held his arms down.

Then, suddenly, a sharp creak pierced the silence as a door swung open. A sliver of blinding light spilled into the room, and Sunghoon squinted, struggling to adjust as the light washed over his face.

He tried to lift his hands to shield his eyes, but his wrists were bound, chained to the cold chair he sat in. Panic crept in as he tugged against the restraints, his heart racing as he glanced around the room, his vision slowly clearing.

A figure loomed in front of him—tall, dark, and coldly familiar. Sunghoon's stomach twisted as he recognized him. It was the same man from before, the one Heeseung had called 'Youngjae.'

His expression was detached, a glint of amusement in his eyes as he watched Sunghoon struggle.

"Stop fighting," Youngjae scoffed, his voice laced with disdain. He stood by crossing his arms, his posture relaxed as if all this was nothing. "Those chains are enchated, trying is useless."

Sunghoon's chest heaved as he caught his breath, every tug against the chains sending a burning pain through his wrists.

His voice was shaky, barely steady enough to form words. "There's nothing I can do for you. I... I don't even know how to control my powers." His voice broke slightly at the end, betraying the fear he felt.

Youngjae chuckled, a sound so devoid of warmth that it made Sunghoon's skin crawl. "Control your powers? Do you honestly think that's what this is about?"

He leaned forward, his gaze dark and piercing, looking at Sunghoon as if he were something to be dissected. "You're here because you exist. And that's reason enough."

Sunghoon's throat tightened, and he swallowed hard, trying to keep his voice steady. "Don't hurt my friends," he said, his tone almost pleading. "Whatever you want, leave them out of this."

Youngjae's smile widened. "Why do you care so much about them? You're the one chained up here, alone. Do you really think any of them would risk their lives for you?"
