Aaron Kingston, a rich jerk, rude, arrogant, who is cruel to the world . He never cared about his family. He lavishly spends more money with friends. He got all he wanted from childhood till now .
Will he get love of his life...
If looks could kill, I would’ve dropped dead during that drive. Emma’s eyes were burning holes into me the entire way, silently demanding an explanation. It’s not like she doesn’t know about Aaron—I’ve told her everything… well, almost everything. I just didn’t mention the part about us fake dating or the engagement party. She’d been away at her cousin’s village, and when she came back, I convinced her to join the trip without delay.
As soon as we arrived and everyone dispersed, she yanked my hand and hissed, “Care to explain?” Her voice was low but laced with fury—I knew exactly how pissed off she was. “Look, Em, I wasn’t trying to keep things from you. I was just… waiting for the right moment. I promise I’ll tell you everything tonight before we sleep.”
She didn’t say a word. Just turned and walked off. This girl… Sighing, I followed her and practically begged her to talk to me like normal. After a dramatic five-minute cold war, she finally gave in. “I have something to tell you too,” she muttered. And just like that, we were okay again.
We all took a break—especially the boys, exhausted from all the driving—and decided to meet again at 6 p.m. When we gathered later, Zander excitedly introduced his girlfriend. “Hi girls, meet my girlfriend Hazel,” he said, beaming.
Hazel smiled and shook hands with us. “Oh, you’re that Hannah!” she said, showing me her phone. “You’re literally all over the news with Aaron. People are talking about you on every social platform.”
Aaron, who had just walked over, replied coolly, “Only jealous people spread negativity. If you scroll a little further, you’ll see there are plenty sending us blessings too.” He flashed his phone screen toward her.
Zander gave me an apologetic smile, and I returned a forgiving one. It wasn’t his fault. But what Hazel said next made my blood boil.
“You’re wasting your time. Negative people only look for dirt,” Emma jumped in, snatching Aaron’s phone from Hazel and handing it back to him. The glares exchanged between Emma and Hazel could’ve set the place on fire. Zander quickly tried to defuse the tension.
“And Hazel, this is Emma—Liam’s date,” he said, laughing nervously.
That was the wrong move.
Hazel turned to Emma, eyes filled with venom. “Look who’s talking about negativity. You’re only here because Liam needed someone on his arm. Girls like you are just for show. How much did you charge him, huh?”
Emma leaned toward me and whispered, “Why is this man like this? He can’t even stand up for me.” Her voice trembled with rage.
That was it. I clenched my fist, and before Hazel could finish her next insult, I slapped her. Hard. And when no one stopped me, I did it again—harder. She hit the ground.
Aaron stepped in just in time to stop me from throwing a punch. “Enough! Don’t dirty your hands,” he said, gently pulling me back. Emma handed me her mini sanitizer. “Here, babe. Clean those hands.”
Aaron turned to Zander, his voice cold and dangerous. “Take her away. Teach her how to speak to people—especially the ones I care about. Or I swear, I’ll destroy everything she holds dear.”
Zander apologized and dragged a sobbing Hazel away.
Emma crossed her arms dramatically. “Some guys flirt like pros but can’t protect their girl—fake or not. Ugh. Why do I always get stuck with womanizers?”
Liam, now visibly annoyed, shot back, “Why am I stuck with a girl who can’t protect herself?”
Whatever happened inside that room, Hazel came out minutes later, apologized, and things calmed down. We decided to eat and then hang out by the bonfire.
Before heading to dinner, Aaron leaned in, smirked, and whispered, “Feisty. I loved it.” We walked out hand in hand.
I don’t know if what he’s showing is real or just part of the act, but whatever it is, I want it to last a little longer.
Dinner was set outside, overlooking the beach. The hotel had every cuisine imaginable—Italian, Japanese, Thai, French, Turkish, Korean, Indian… It was a dream.
Afterward, we sang and danced around the bonfire like we had no worries. Hazel acted like nothing had happened—for Zander’s sake, I guess. Aaron and Liam sat a little away from us, talking seriously, probably business stuff. I just focused on singing my heart out. I didn’t care how I sounded—I just knew I wouldn’t get this moment back.
By 11 p.m., everyone was exhausted. We split into our rooms. Zander pulled Hazel aside, apologized again, and promised she wouldn’t repeat her behavior.
Emma and I said our goodnights and were about to head inside when Zander asked, “Wait, you guys aren’t sleeping with your partners? Then what’s the point of this trip?”
Emma didn’t even blink. “I’d rather sleep with a bear than with him,” she said, glaring at Liam.
“And I’d choose a lion over you!” Liam shouted and stormed off, dragging Aaron along. Emma pulled me into our room and slammed the door.
“Why do you hate him so much?” I asked, genuinely curious.
“I despise guys who think they can buy any girl just because they’re rich and good-looking. They treat us like toys,” she spat.
I sighed. “Liam used to believe in love, you know. But his crush rejected him for an older man with more money. They weren’t even dating, but it broke him. He was so kind… innocent, even. That one rejection changed him completely. Now he hides behind arrogance to protect himself.”
