SOMETHING ABOUT THE TOUCH OF HIS HAND THAT MAKES MY SOUL SHIVER, MY HEART FLUTTER, MY BODY QUIVER… I CLOSE MY EYES, TAKE A DEEP BREATH, AND REALIZE I COULD REMAIN LOST FOREVER IN THE PRECIOUS MOMENTS HE ALLOWS ME TO HAVE WITH HIM…

Aaron's P.O.V

"Let's go on a countryside ride," Zander suggested.

"Man, grow up! Even kids choose better places. Let's hit a club, get drunk, and dance with hot chicks," Liam said, rolling his eyes.

"We do that all the time. Let’s go to the beach and get tanned instead," he added.

For the past hour, I’d been on a video call with my friends trying to decide where to go this weekend. Most of the time, we partied and chilled. And if you think ‘enjoying life’ means being a playboy, doing one-night stands, and dating multiple girls—then you’re wrong.

I’ve only had eyes for one girl my whole life. My childhood crush. My love. My everything. No one knows about her except my best friends, and even they don’t know her name. I’m not sure if she feels the same, so until then, it's just me and my heart’s little secret.

Only when my presence is absolutely required—or when I’m bored of partying—do I take work seriously.

"Guys, let’s go trekking for three days. It’s been a while, and it could be refreshing," I suggested.

"But on one condition—everyone brings a date," Zander smirked.

"You know we don’t do dates!" Liam and I protested in unison.

"I know, man, but my girl’s already complaining that I don’t give her enough time. Help me out. Let me use this opportunity to save my relationship!" he pleaded dramatically, wiping fake tears.

"And Liam, every girl wants to go with you. Pick anyone," Zander added.

Then he turned to me. "Aaron, you can bring Hannah. She’ll never say no to you."

That caught my attention.

Actually, it's a good idea. It’s been a long time… I could spend more time with her, maybe even make her fall for me.

"I’m in," I said, nodding.

Zander grinned and pointed at Liam. "Don’t worry about Liam. He’s in too."

"Man, when did I say that?" Liam muttered.

"Come on, every girl wants to be your date. Pick one. Easy," I teased.

He rolled his eyes. "Then find one for me! Bye." He ended the call, clearly annoyed.

After a painfully boring three-hour meeting—which my dad was supposed to attend but dumped on me due to my sister’s engagement prep—I was finally back in my office.

Just as I leaned back to relax, my phone rang.

It was headache (aka Dad).

"How was the meeting? Did you close the deal? I hope you didn’t let me down," he asked immediately.

"Hello to you too, Dad!" I replied sarcastically. "If this call is just for a meeting update, I’m too busy to chat."

"No, the reason I called is—we're personally inviting guests for Mia’s engagement. I want you to come with us."

"Sorry, Dad. I told you already—I’ve got an important meeting with Mr. Ling. Can’t skip it."

"I thought you’d love to meet your aunt," he said slyly.

"You mean… you’re going to meet the Walkers?" I asked, sitting up.

"Yes, son. Camila even asked me to bring you along. She says she misses you. But you’re busy, right? So I’ll tell her."

He hung up.

Damn. I really wanted to go. It’s been so long since I saw Aunt Camila… and Hannah.

Should I cancel the meeting?

But it’s too late now.

Just then, there was a knock.

"Come in," I said, not bothering to look up.

"Mr. Kingston, these are the files you asked for. And here’s the summary of today’s meeting," Ms. Brooks said.

"Cancel my meeting with Mr. Ling and clear today’s schedule," I told her, flipping through the documents.

"But sir… it’s an important meeting. You can’t—"

I cut her off. "You’re paid to do what I say. You’ve got five minutes to cancel it. If not, pack your things and leave."

She looked shaken. "Yes, sir."

Exactly five minutes later, she returned.

"Mr. Kingston, the meeting has been rescheduled. Your schedule is cleared," she said, trembling.

I smirked.

"I’m coming for you, Hannah," I whispered, looking at her photo on my phone.

---

Later…

"Hi Aunt, missed me?" I said with a wink.

"Aaron! Your dad said you had a meeting with an important client," she said, surprised.

"Nothing can stop me from meeting you, Aunt," I smiled, scanning the room. "Where is everyone?"

"They're in the backyard. Come, I’ll take you there."

We walked out into the backyard, still as beautiful as I remembered—flowers, greenery, a cozy couch in the center. Laughter and chatter filled the air.

But no Hannah.

This place… it held so many memories. I could still see us—me and Hannah, playing, fighting, gardening, throwing mud, laughing. It made my heart ache.

Bored, I excused myself and headed to the parking lot… and that’s when I saw her. Parking her car.

A devilish grin spread on my face.

I ran back inside through the back door and waited near the front door.

She rang the bell five times. Then started banging.

This girl must’ve lost her key again. Classic Hannah. My girl.

The banging got louder.

Not wanting to alert others, I flung the door open and yanked her inside before she could scream. I clamped a hand over her mouth and held her tightly with the other.

Her scent hit me—fresh, earthy… the same as always. My heart skipped a beat.

She struggled in my grip, but I held her firm.

"Stop struggling or I won’t hesitate to kill you," I said, disguising my voice.

She froze. Thinking.

Then suddenly, she pulled my hand off her mouth and screamed, "Aaron?!"

I let go. She turned, staring at me—shocked, confused, stunned.

And I just stood there, smirking.
