After going to probably the only mall in town to get some very pricy suites (Jake all too happy to speed the vampire's money), they headed to Lodge Cheek-Inn where prom was being hosted.

(A/N- I'm pretty sure that's where their prom was actually at bc I saw a slightly blurred image of the sign while I was watching the show to make this book lol)

"I can't believe they let me in," Jake said as they walked past the two guards.

"They didn't 'just let you in' I bribed them five hundred each." Winter rolled his eyes.

"Still."

Winter chucked before they walled the red carpet layer beautifully out on the freshly mowed grass.

Once they got past a centered point, they paused to smile for a photo. Jake stood kinda stiff but went for a boyish smile, though Winter just gave the camera a flat expression.

"Aren't you the perfect robot date?" Jake mocked when they walked up a few steps to the inside of the inn.

"You're welcome," Winter responded.

The first door was very casino-like in their bar, cards, pool, and likely rigid machine games. They walked past that and went into the next room, the dance floor with their disco ball and DJ at the back.

"Do you know how to dance?" Jake asked teasingly.

"I've been alive for so long it would be more of a surprise if I didn't know how to dance," Winter told him as they walked in between people who cheered and moved to the music.

"Wanna dance then?" Jake asked.

"Two words; fuck. No." Jake pouted, but it was useless when Winter wouldn't even look at him. Jake shoved the vampire lightly before he paused.

"I'm guessing you don't want to meet my family?" Winter asked though it might as well have been for zero reason as Alice and Jasper were already walking towards them.

"I knew I smelled dog." Alice huffed, though her face was significantly less harsh than it would have been if Jake didn't hold the other half of Winter's soul.

"Too bad I'm already drowning in the smell of rusty copper or I would've sniffed you out miles away." Jake countered right back.

That most likely wasn't true as Winter hadn't had blood since the day Jake saved Winter's life because of some stupid fucking blood that almost had him tripping and losing his life by the hand of a deranged vampire.

"And here I thought your other half was meant to smell like rainbows and sunshine," Alice said, raising her eyebrow.

"Tell me that again when your imprint is a vampire." Jake huffed, yet no heat inflared his eyes.

Alice rolled her eyes before turning her body in tours jasper, effectively cutting the conversation, or more like miny sparring battle down.

Winter shook his head with a small smile. "Come, let's dance." Winter said, grabbing Jake's hand and tugging him to the dance floor.

"And here I thought you didn't do dancing." Jake smiles, Winter refusing to respond.

The high schoolers who knew of Winter's cold prince persona, which was everyone, parted for him. Jake watched as they walked to the center on the dance floor, who nobody even once bumped into them.

"Are they scared of your or something?" Jake asked almost  cautiously. Winter didn't answer at first, instead he pulled the wolf into him, his hand going down to Jake's waist to lead, and Jake hand on Winter's shoulder, then they clasped there free hands together and moved in a simple 6 step box.
