Victory Road

The team has made it to the entrance of a special cave.

Izuku: So, we have to go through this cave in order to get to Evergrande City?

Ash: That's right. But it's not just any kind of cave. We call it Victory Road. Every region has it. It's basically the ultimate test before getting to the League.

Dawn: We have to be careful. There will be a lot of strong Pokémon here.

They all nodded and ventured into the cave.

In the cave, they found a lot of Pokémon. They were all pretty strong, but the combined efforts of them all were able to fend them off.

They decided to take a quick break to rest, so Koneko and Cathleen sat down beside some rocks.

Koneko: This is quite the long journey.

Cathleen: Yeah, but the more we battle, the stronger our Pokémon become. We need Izuku's Pokémon to get as strong as possible so he can win this league.

Koneko glanced at Izuku, who was talking with Ash about strategy and slightly blushed.

Koneko: Yeah. You're right.

Cathleen noticed this and smirked.

Cathleen: So, you love him?

Koneko blushed a bit more and looked at Cathleen.

Koneko: What? Love who?

Cathleen: It's kinda obvious. You know exactly who I'm talking about.

Koneko: There are two boys in that direction. You need to specify.

Cathleen: Izuku.

Koneko: 'Crud.'

Cathleen: So, it's true?

Koneko: Fine. Yes. It's true. But don't tell him.

Cathleen: Sure thing. But you know, you've got to tell him soon. You never know when someone is going to come along and steal his heart.

Koneko: Easier said than done.

Cathleen: True. But still. You're a cute girl. Don't you have any experience with guys?

Koneko: Nope. Most boys I've met are perverts.

Cathleen: Oi. Even at school?

Koneko: It used to be an All Girls School, so most of the guys that go there are pervs. Three of them even peek on us while we change.

Cathleen: Geez.

Koneko: But... Izuku's not like them. Far from it. There is this one boy I know who isn't a pervert, but Izuku? He's like a... like a...

Cathleen: Bunny?

Koneko snorts a little.

Koneko: I was gonna say a cinnamon roll, but I guess that works too.

Cathleen snorts.

Koneko: And yet, despite all of the shit he's been through, he still wishes to be a hero.

Cathleen: What exactly has he been through?

Koneko: That's not something I should explain to you. It's Izuku who should.

Cathleen: I see.

Eri then shows up.

Eri: You like my Papa?

Koneko turns with her eyes widened.

Koneko: How much of that conversation did you hear?

Eri shrugs.
