The morning had come around, one you were anxious for ever since daiki had joined the mafia days ago. It was going to be her first assignment with the black lizard.

You had to keep telling yourself that she'd be fine. She was a nakahara now after all which meant she was capable of anything.

The assignment was to infiltrate a warehouse and take care of the men there. They were stealing and trying to move things around to other warehouses that weren't port mafia owned. And if you cross the mafia, you're done for.

You never understood why there were people out there who tried to do things behind the mafias back, thinking they would get away with it. It was stupid thinking. They would all end up dead somewhere soon.

She was already ready for her assignment, standing with the black lizard. "She will be just fine" Tachihara said as he smiled down at you.

"I know" you nodded. "She's a strong woman. Intelligent too" smiling, you gave a small wave to daiki as she began to walk with gin and hirotsu. "It's gotta be some sort of mom thing.....the anxiety that comes with it is almost unbearable"

"You're a good mom" Tachihara complimented. "I'll keep ya posted while we're out"

"Thank you" you smiled as the man began to walk away. Chuuya wrapped an arm around you before the two of you began to head back inside the port mafia.

"Can't believe our girl is already doing jobs" chuuya smiled. "Where did the time go? Wasn't she just like...five?"

"Yea" you laughed lightly under your breath. "Time goes by fast" you remember watching her grow up ever since you and chuuya had found and rescued her. She went from being this small, malnourished, mute, child to this now rambunctious, outgoing, intelligent, strong woman.

Inside the mafia, you seen mori and kouyou talking to once another. Mori looked annoyed while kouyous brows were slightly furrowed together. She had usually had such a calm expression on her face, but this was not calm. It made you question what they were discussing.

You walked up to them, both of their eyes flickering towards you. "What's going on?" You asked making mori place a smile on his face. One you knew that was fake.

"Oh nothing, sweetheart" Mori dismissed. "It's just we're having a small disagreement is all"

"A small disagreement?" Kouyou scoffed.

"Yes" Moris eyes darted towards the woman, telling her to shush. You could see there was something they weren't telling you and you hated it.

"Don't fucking lie to me" you stated.

"Mori here was already discussing plans for ace" kouyou spoke, moris smile falling. "He's already thinking of ways to convince you to let the boy join early, get him ahead of the game"

"Are you kidding me?" You scoffed as your eyes narrowed at the man. "He's eight!"

"But we can train him from a young age. He could become a prodigy....a new demon prodigy like Dazai" mori tried to put a smile on his face, but it kept faltering. "We started Dazai at fourteen and look what we did!"

"We?!" Kouyou snapped. "Look what you did!"

"This is my mafia!" Mori shouted. "I will do as I please" he placed himself back in a calmly manner.

"He's our son" chuuya stated. "You will not be making those decisions. He will join when he is ready and it will not be before the age of fifteen"

"We agreed upon that when we got daiki" you added. "They're our kids....not your pawns in the mafia"
