Alice's POV

I woke up to the tapping of foot steps. I slowly reached for the base ball bat under my bed.

I jumped up and raised the bat.

"Die!!!" I screamed.

I know, I need to work on my battle cry.

I heard a girlish scream and smirked. Only one guy makes that noise.

"Uncle Raymond!!" I exclaimed.

"Nice to see you too, Jabber!" He chuckled.

Uncle Raymond is an extremely mysterious bugger. He's the one who found me in the hospital. Apparently, my real parents had me and left me.

Another thing to bring down my self a steam.

"Morning, Al-" I heard mom start.

I was adopted by Mrs. And Mr. Waters. They only got me so people wouldn't gossip about them and the fact they had no kids.

Ouch. Heart wrenching.

"Good morning, Gloria!" Raymond exclaimed. He gave her a big hug. She had the most discussed face I've ever seen.

It was like Raymond was a puppy murderer!

"Hello, Raymond." She spat.

After the wonderful family reunion I decided to go to The Charles Cabin. That place was a little bar on the lake.

It was the hang out for all the teens in Charlestown. It had a pool table, a live band and acohol.

I rode my skateboard down the streets, zooming by trees and people.

I opened the door and that old bell above the door gave a chime.

Lisa, Noah and Ben wave me over to a table.

"Hey, guys!" I said sitting next to Lisa.

"Hey, have you seen Liz?" Lisa asked.

"No, I thought she would be here." I said.

"She's been acting weird lately," Noah explained.

"She's probably studying." I said. Lisa nodded. Noah looked unsure and worried.

We talked for a while and it was getting pretty late. Lisa and Noah had left and I was paying for our drinks.

I heard someone approach me and I looked up.

"Hey, Alice. You know there is that bonfire tonight-" Ben started. He had his famous smirk on.

"Hello, Alice." A voice inturrpted.

I looked up to see the one and only, Kol. He gave me that smirk.

"Hey, Kol-" I was about to ask.

There was a crash outside.

"What was that?" I asked.

"Probably just a glass or something." Ben said.

"Maybe," I nodded. I held my head and shut my eyes as that head ache started again.

Kol was immediately by my side.

44

06

I groaned as those numbers pounded in my head.

"Are you ok?" Kol asked.

I grabbed a pen from Ben's jacket and a napkin. I write down the numbers over and over til the pain stopped.

"44 06?" Ben asked.

"I'll see you guys later." I said. I didn't take my eyes off the paper as I opened the door.

I finally looked up from the paper. I was standing in the middle of the road, the mist floated around me and street lamps lit the night. I looked around at the houses next to me and one had a 06 on the side.

I rolled my eyes and looked around for a trash can so I could dispose of the haunting napkin.

Mt eyes landed on a sign: 44 yard street. I gasped and looked around.

I saw a figure walking towards me. I took out my phone and pretend to press the answer button.

"Hello. Oh, hey aunty.... B?" I said.

I mentally face palmed myself. Aunty B?

"Yeah, it's cool. I'm tight. How's it hanging?" I asked.

Maybe I do have mental problems.

"Yeah, man...err dude." I said.

All of a sudden there was a knife against my throat.

"Well shit, man...." I mumbled.

Pic of Kol om the side!!
