♤ Alice's POV ♤

There was something tickling my face. Mt eyes fluttered open to be meet by blurry green.

I scrabbled to my feet and took in my surroundings.

I was in the cemetery.

Part of the sunny landscape was green, lush grass. Then there was a sidewalk all around the little graveyard of the small town. There were black chains connected to little poles, those kept you from falling into the crashing waves down below.

The graveyard over looked the ocean and the docks. The old grey stools were spotless and in perfect rows.

There was a tree blocking the view of a ceremony going on. It looked like everyone from school was there.

I heard sniffles and cries from the students and family members.

Who died?

"You might wanna check it out, dear." I jumped at the soft velvety voice. I spun around to see a teenager with fiery red hair and a black lace dress.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I'm the anchor to the other side." She said, proudly.

"Uh-huh......" I trailed off.

"You are on the other side. Where the dead supernatural roam." She explained.

"Cool- Wait. Y-you mean..... I'm dead?" I asked, stunned.

"Go see so yourself." She said, slowly extended a hand toward the ceremony.

I dashed off in that direction, seeing a flash of red I looked down to see I was wearing a blood red dress.

Who cares, your dead!!

"Right." I mumbled.

I proceeded to run toward them. I halted to a stop at the opposite side of the coffin.

The first people I spotted were my parents, they looked.... guilty.

My mother was in tears and my father was holding her from behind. She was trying to muffle her cries into a tissue.

I spotted my uncle Reymond leaning on a far away tree. Well, he was leaning against it and crying into his knees in the grass.

I saw Lisa and Liz hugging eachother while Noah had an arm around them.... They all looked so broken.

That's when I saw Kol.

Kol wasn't apart of the funeral. Kol was in an alleyway farther away. I knew he could hear everything anyway.

I ran to him.

"Kol! Kol! Kol, it's ok! I'm alive! I didn't die!" I yelled.

I dodged a car and ran across the street to him.

"Kol! Kol, please!! You have to see me!!!" I exclaimed.

Was this how I ended? Was o never gonna see them again and have them see me?

Kol banged his head on the wall, his tie was undone and his colar was up.

"Kol..." I whispered through my tears.

I clasped on the sidewalk and cried.

This was it. I would watch the world go by. I would watch my family and friends mourn over me. I wouldn't be able to do anything but watch. It wasnt up to me anym-

"Oh, don't give me that pity speech, girl! Get up and get your man!" A voice said.

I looked up only to see a Chinese man.

"Y-you can see me?" I asked, quietly.

"Heck yeah!! You ain't alone on the other side and you ain't here permanently. Your in transition." He exclaimed.

Transition?

I heard a clap of thunder and it's started to pour down rain.

The people in the funeral gasped, but it wasn't because of the rain.

Suddenly I saw the world from a different angle.

I was lying down.... lying down in.... a coffin.
