(Wait; David Archuleta. *looks at you* What? I've got an obsession, so what? *looks away* To writing!)

Bella's POV:

I made up my mind. I was staying at their house. I had everything I needed from them previously catering to me, and if they came back to get their stuff they couldn't leave without giving me an explanation.

I did everything I could to not slip into the deadly stupor that threatened to drown me like it did... the last time. Because this time, I was alone.

Hugging the pillow on the bed in Edward's room closely, I fought back the tears.

Edward's POV:

"She's staying at the house, Edward," Alice told me, "I think you should go get our stuff."

"Alice, can't you see?" I sighed frustratedly, pinching the bridge of my nose with my thumb and forefinger, "If I go back she's not going to let me leave. I won't let myself leave!"

"Well, no one else is going to go back and watch Bella go through what she did last time again. She is just getting over it, and you leaving with Zoey definitely inflicted new wounds that were slightly stitched when you returned. But you just tore them out, along with her heart - again - and left her there to bleed."

"Helpful," I sneered sarcastically.

"Well, it appears we've reached an impasse." she sighed.

"We could vote." I suggested, "Who goes back."

I saw Alice slip into a state that only meant she was having a vision. In her mind, I saw myself running back to the house.

She smirked smugly.

I rolled my eyes, and knew if we voted I would definitely be sent back to the house.

"Rock Paper Scissors?" I suggested. I watched her vision hopefully, and sighed with relief when I saw Emmett trudging to the house with a glum look on his face. I looked at him.

"Me? No!" he whined.

"Sorry, Emmett," I said, pushing him in the direction of the house that was fifty miles away now.

As I watched him disappear into the thick undergrowth, I slumped down and continued sulking. Sure, I didn't have to face Bella directly, but I'd still see it clear as day in Emmett's mind as soon as he got near again.

"You should feel guilty," I heard Jasper mutter before pulling Alice away from our makeshift 'shelter'. We had found a clearing in the woods with a stream and a lot of wildlife surrounding, so basically we just hunted, or sat, or talked all day.

Emmett's POV:

I immediately got bored of trudging through the woods at human pace. I was going to enjoy the walk, maybe hunt some bears along the way, enjoy the scenery. But it was so repetitive! How could human hikers do this?

Soon I found myself running at vampire speed back to the house, eager to get there and get out. I decided I would try to keep the thoughts out of my head when I got back for Edward's sake.

Soon I saw the familiar house creeping up in the distance. I looked up at the third story window and saw Bella rocking back and forth on the bed hugging a pillow and sobbing.

I had the urge to turn and run, but I was already here, and there was no point of return without getting what I came here for.

Swallowing the worry I felt, I opened the front door as quietly as I could. I heard the television upstairs, and listened intently.

"I love you," a lady's voice murmured.

"I'll never leave you," I heard a male voice utter back.

"Liar!" Bella screeched, and I heard a loud thump as she threw something against the wall.

I couldn't help myself, I was definitely going to let Edward see that one. Choking back laughter, I silently crept up the stairs. Luck wasn't with me, though, because I stepped on a stair and it creaked noisily. I heard the television go mute, and Bella stand.

"E-Edward?" she croaked.

"No, Bella, it's Emmett," I called. There was no point in hiding when she knew someone was here.

I walked the rest of the way up the stairs, and watched her limp through the door that was at the end of the hall - Edward's room -, her black cast on her leg thumping against the hardwood.

"Are you alone?" she asked softly, wiping her eyes. I noticed she clutched a carton of ice cream in her other hand, a spoon sticking out of it.

"Um, yeah... I was sent to get our stuff."

"Oh." she said. I saw her eyes well up, and tears began falling down her cheeks, following the salty trails the tears previous had left on her face.

"Come here," I said, opening my arms. She rushed over to me and wrapped her arms around my neck. As soon as I wrapped my arms around her, she began sobbing uncontrollably.

"I just... I mean... he... he promised!" she cried.

"I know. He just needs to think; realize that you're his mate, and that everything that happens to you isn't his fault. You guys are meant for each other. He always rushes into decisions too fast."

"Thanks, Emmett," she said with a sniffle. I unwound my arms from her.

"You're welcome," I smiled. We stared at each other for a long while, and then suddenly, unconsciously, we leaned in...

And we were kissing. And neither of us seemed to realize we were. Her lips were warm and soft, and it was strange and unfamiliar to me.

Suddenly, both of our eyes shot open, and we stared bug-eyed at each other. After a long moment, we backed away from each other.

"Never. Speak of this. To anyone." She growled.

"Agreed," I muttered, and I packed as fast as I could.

=======================

WELL, THAT WAS INTERESTING...

#BELLETT MOMENT.

Will anyone find out? Did they enjoy the kiss!?

Well, I guess you'll have to find out in the next chapter, because I'm evil 😈

I hope you liked this chapter. I know it's kind of short, but I liked writing this, so I'll probably update it again in an hour or so.
