(I hate the homecoming queen; Emily Osment)
Alice's POV:
As soon as the vision started, I ran. I ran as far away from Edward as physically possible. When I was certain I was out of his 'hearing' range, I watched the vision.
Oh my God, I thought, Emmett and Bella kissed.
Well, this is interesting. I focused on thinking of other things as I ran back to our camp.
"What was that?" Edward asked.
"Nothing, I just thought I saw a vision of someone in the forest. It was nothing."
"Why are you thinking of all the colors in Spanish?"
"Um, you gotta keep it in your head after what you learn is read!"
He looked at me like I was insane, but dropped it. I sighed in relief, and waited for Emmett's return.
Bella's POV:
What. Did I. Do?
Why? Why did I have to do that? But it's Emmett's fault, too! He kissed back.
He kisses way worse than Edward does, I shuddered to myself. I tried to convince myself that I just felt lonely without Edward - that I just wanted to feel loved.
It didn't help.
I paced Edward's room, muttering curse words under my breath. I heard Emmett walk in.
We looked at each other for a split second, and then we went to acting like we couldn't see each other. He gathered up all of Edward's clothes. As he went to grab the last handful of them, I cried out.
"No!" I cried, yanking the shirts from his grasp. He looked at me, stunned.
"What?"
"I... I want these."
"Oh, uh... okay?" He grabbed a few CDs, not bothering to pay attention to what he was grabbing.
"Remember Clair de Lune," I muttered, my voice cracking. He nodded, and took the collection. He took the photo on the wall of Edward and I, and left the one on the bedside table. He probably left that there for my benefit.
All too soon he was finished packing, and he began walking down the stairs.
"You're not coming back, are you?" I asked, already knowing the answer.
"I don't know," he looked at me apologetically, "Eddie is very controlling," he added sarcastically.
I rolled my eyes at his remark, and watched him leave. Then I was alone again.
Emmett's POV:
As I walked out the door, I was free to think. Bella wasn't a bad kissed, but she definitely didn't measure up to Rose. And if Rose ever found out... I shuddered.
Thing is, until now I never thought of Bella as more than a sister. But now I was really confused. I figured if I just got back to the camp and saw Rose for a while, everything would subside.
I took one last glance back at the house, and Bella was back in Edward's room, hugging one of his shirts and crying, mascara smudging down her face. I think I'll show that to Edward, too.
Eventually I got bored of thinking of the previous hour, and I rushed back to the camp. Everyone welcomed me back - except Alice. She gave me a death glare, and the saying 'if looks could kill' rang through my mind. I heard Edward chuckle.
So, Alice had seen... the thing. But why wasn't Edward mad?
"Mad about what?" he asked curiously.
