Chapter 1: Pilot (M)ax

AUTHORS NOTE: One thing I want to say before you read is there is a down syndrome girl in this story and i am not saying all down syndrome girls are like the ds girl in my story so please don't think im stereotyping or being mean or something! Anyway onto the story

Chapter 1: Pilot ;)

The two 16 year old friends Lacy and Anna were standing outside on the sidewalk outside of Anna's house.

Lacy was about to move 1500 miles away and they were having a tearful goodbye.

Lacy walked a few steps towards Anna and grabbed her hands.

"I will miss you so much." Anna said looking at Lacy.

"Me too sweetie." Lacy said looking down at the ground.

"Hey." Anna said gently touching Lacy's arm.

"I hate to see you so sad." Anna said looking into Lacy's big hazel eyes.

"I know, I know. I just have never been so far away from you before." Lacy said.

Tears formed in Lacy's eyes and threatened to fall down her face.

Lacy was trying to be strong but she couldn't stand it and her mouth quivered.

"Don't cry! You're going to make me cry!" Anna said as Lacy looked up at her.

Lacy grabbed Anna's body and pulled her towards her and hugged her tightly.

She started to cry on her shoulder.

Anna was about to cry too and was not the type of person to show emotion in front of people. She couldn't hold it in much longer.

So Anna pulled away from Lacy and looked at her again. She let go of Lacy's hands without saying a word and gently nudged her towards the taxi cab.

Lacy slowly got in the car.

Just before Anna leaned forward and shut the car door Lacy looked at Anna and said "I love you sissy, goodbye."

"I love you too." Anna said.

Lacy sadly looked down as Anna shut the door.

Anna hated goodbyes so she never said them but now she regretted not saying goodbye. At the time she didn't know that, that time would be the last time she would ever see her best friend Lacy, she was like a sister to her and when the tragedy happened Anna wanted to die.

She was kidnapped, 2 weeks later and found dead after 18 months.

Anna imagined what Lacy must have been feeling just before she was murdered and how she would beat the shit out of Lacy's kidnapper if she were there with her while he held them captive.

"Please, please don't hurt me, NO!!!!"

Anna woke up from her flashback of Lacy.

Tears were in her eyes.

"You ok hunny?" Anna's dad asked her after he heard her gasp and jump in her seat.

"Uh, yeah I'm, I'm ok." Anna said discreetly wiping the tears from her face.
