Chapter 11: Pancake Place (C)larkson

AUTHORS NOTE:

Sorry! I know this chapter probably is gonna suck a little, because I had major writers block but ughh the next chapters gonna be better I promise.

"So what do you want for breakfast?" Max asked breaking the awkward silence.

Anna just looked at Max and then shrugged.

Max sighed and then smiled. "Pancakes?" He asked.

She shrugged again.

"I told you it's not awkward." Max said looking at her. "I want to be with you Anna."

Anna looked up but still didn't say anything.

"I want to be with you." He repeated.

"Oh." Anna mumbled and then blushed.

"You don't have to say anything. I just wanted you to know that." Max said looking back at the road again.

When they arrived at the restaurant called The Pancake Place they walked inside together and ordered pancakes with a side of eggs, hash browns, and sausage.

"So, what's your favorite kind of music?"  Max asked smiling.

Anna smiled too.

"I like 90's RnB quite a bit, but I'm not really picky." Anna said shrugging. "What about you?"

"I'm the same. Except I don't like Kelly Clarkson." Max said shaking his head.

"She's cool, but I'm not crazy about her music." Anna said.

"What's your favorite color?" Anna asked, putting her arms on the table and leaning forward.

"Green." He said with a little hesitation.

She smiled. "Mine's orange." 

"What about your favorite meal?" Max asked, squinting his eyes.

"I love lasagna, Ooh and cheese cake but I guess cheese cake would qualify as a dessert. So lasagna." Anna said shrugging and then sighing. "What's your favorite food?"

"I love omelettes. No doubt about it, I love all the ingredients inside." 

Then their food came in the middle of him talking.

"Here you go you two love birds." The waitress said putting the food on the table.

"Thanks." Anna and Max said as they took the food from her.

When she walked away Anna couldn't help but smile.

"What?" Max asked breaking into a smile too.

"It's just so strange, the whole time I was with my last boyfriend which was my 1rst and only boyfriend by the way people never even suspected we were together. They never thought we were on a date or anything. Then I go out for the first time with you and someone thinks we're together." Anna said with laughter.

"I have to ask you something Anna." Max said seriously.

"Sure." Anna said becoming serious too.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Max asked. "I was thinking about it last night when we cuddled and it was really nice. I would love to continue to cuddle you, and I want to kiss you, and what I mentioned before." 

"I would love to be your boyfriend." Anna said, smiling. "But."

She started and Max's blissful face turned to staggered look.

"How good of a cook are you? I love a guy who cooks." Anna said with a smile.

"I'm pretty good if I follow a cook book." Max said looking embarrassed.

Anna smiled again. "Okay, I'll be your girlfriend." She said taking a bite of her pancakes.

Max smiled widely and grabbed her hand.

"I'll be the best boyfriend you've ever had."

"You won't break my heart right?" Anna asked taking a bite of her eggs.

"No. I like you Anne." He said winking at her.

'I didn't know if I could trust him when he said he wouldn't break my heart, but I am so happy he is my boyfriend, finally! I really like him too. So no matter what happens I want to make this feeling last.'
