"Ok so...we just have to write about brewing an antidote for common poisons? That's so simple, you definitely didn't need my help." I flip through my potions book, rolling my eyes in annoyance. I could've had this assignment done in fifteen minutes, but since I'm helping Blaise and Theo it's going to take at least an hour, and that's me being gracious.
"I know, I just wanted to annoy you V." Blaise retorted, a smirk finding its way onto his face. My face dropped out of shock.
"Oh my Godric! You know I'm sick and want to...annoy me? I thought we were friends, Blaise!" I tease dramatically. I leaned backward in my chair in an attempt to be extra dramatic. Spoiler alert: I ended up falling over. That's the last time I ever try to be funny.
"V! Are you okay!" Blaise exclaims as he rushes over to help me. The librarian shushes us aggressively while I just lay there out of embarrassment.
"Just peachy!" I rub my head and sit up slowly.
"What you get for a lame joke..." I hear Theo mutter under his breathe.
I take in a deep breathe before rolling over on my side, to which Blaise shoots me a confused/judgmental look, and pull Theo's chair backwards, causing him to fall out next to me. Should I have been causing this much commotion and clammer in a library? No...but Theo had been a real dick to me recently and I wanted, no, craved revenge.
"FUCK!" He shouts, making impact with the ground. Madam Pince began taking large strides over to us, a furious expression on her face.
"You three, leave immediately! I will not have this kind tomfoolery in my library! You children should be grateful that I'm not giving you detentions or deducting house points!" She scolds, as the three of us quickly gather our belongings and rush out of the library, our faces clouded with fear. Madam Pince was no one to fool around with. She was scary to say the least. I'd volunteered in the library a few times last year, and she was a tough one to be around. Even her aura was intense.
"Where are we going to work now?" Blaise exclaims as we walk into the crowded common room. Of course, it was full of students when we needed it.
"I mean, we can go to my room. Astoria isn't in there I believe." I offer, already walking in that direction. Either we were going to my dorm for homework, or I was going to arrive alone and take a nap. The boys nod in agreement and follow me up to my dorm.
As soon as we get in there, I notice the two of them inspecting my room instead of sitting down to write this essay.
"What are you guys doing?" I inquire, confused, sitting down on my sofa and setting my materials down on the coffee table.
"Nothing..." Theo muttered, observing the pictures of me and friends/family on my wall. I suppose I've never brought them into my room before.
"Well, if you guys don't mind, I would love to work on this essay so that I can eat dinner and go back to sleep." I respond sassily.
With my remark, the boys trudge over to the couch and get all of their materials out.
"So, it's an essay on how to brew the antidote for common poisons? That should come in handy later on..." I flip through my textbook to the page where the instructions are located.
"Ok...step one, you crush the bezoar into a fine powder using the pestle...then you add four measurements of said powder to the cauldron...next add two measurements of standard ingredients and heat it up for five seconds before waving your wand..." I state, writing vigorously, the boys hardly keeping up with my pace. Blaise has to continually look over at my paper to keep up.
"Then you let it sit 40 minutes if using a pewter cauldron, 34 minutes if using a brass cauldron and 30 minutes for a copper cauldron!" Blaise interrupts in a proud tone.
"Wow Blaise, you are an absolute genius!" Theo teases him, punching Blaise's shoulder playfully.
"What can I say, just comes naturally...the talent I mean." Blaise smirks.
"Uh huh...anyways part two. Add a pinch of powdered unicorn hair to your cauldron and stir two times clockwise, add two mistletoe berries and stir anti-clockwise before waving your wand to complete! Simple!" I conclude.
"And the importance of this is...?" Blaise asks stupidly, and I smack my forehead in disappointment.
"To cure you from common poisons you bloody idiot! It's in the name!" Theo scolds, throwing his hands up.
"Oh! I knew that...I was just...testing you two..." Blaise spoke, hastily finishing his work.
"Sure...anyways, can we please go down for dinner now I'm starving." Theo complained as he began packing up his supplies.
"Fatty..." I muttered under my breathe, copying his actions.
"Excuse me?" Theo inquired, pausing.
"You heard me...fatty." I deadpanned, looking up at him.
"Vinny there's so many things I could call you right now, but I'm going to be the bigger person."
"Oh really, Theo? Really? You already are the bigger person!"
"Ok fatty, FATTY FATTY FATTY!" Theo replied back.
"Oh please! Be original at least!" I tease, stepping closer to him. Blaise was just spectating at this point in time, a tad bit confused on what was happening.
Theo looked at me for a minute before shoving me on my bed and tickling me.
"WAIT- NO S-STOP!" I gasp out between giggles.
"Hell no, V!" Theo tased with a laugh, a wide grin on his face.
"Blaise please! Helpppppp!" I scream, attempting to shove Theo off me, but with no avail.
"Sorry V, you're on your own- I don't wanna get caught in the crossfire." Blaise replied, raising his hands up.
Eventually I managed to roll off my bed, taking Theo down with me. I quickly get on top of him and begin to tickle him.
"No! I surrender! Stopp~!" Theo whined, pushing me off of him.
"I win!" I shout enthusiastically from the ground, as Theo rose to his feet, helping me up as well.
"Can we eat now?" Blaise added in, crossing his arms.
"Hell yeah!" Theo added.
