I woke up later than normal the following morning. 11 am. Normally on weekends at get up at 9 am to maintain a consistent sleep schedule and stay productive.

Besides the outrageous time, the first thing I noticed when I woke up was that Astoria was not in our dorm. Usually, she would wake me up before she left, but I suppose that she just wanted to let me sleep in since I was technically sick. I sat up and stretched before getting on a comfortable outfit for the black lake: a pair of flare jeans and a babydoll tank top. Of course, I brought a matching zip-up because it got pretty cool around this time of year. Under normal circumstances, the chilly temperatures would have me reaching for a jacket, but being ill has left me feeling unusually warm.

I pick up my bag and head out the door of my dormitory, making my way toward the lake. I decided to quickly stop by the kitchens to grab some snacks since I missed breakfast and probably wouldn't return for lunch.

"Hey, Neville...and Harry!" I shout, walking down to the shoreline. I didn't realize Harry would be here, usually, he's with Ron and Hermoine or they were with him. Odd.

"Hey, Vinny! I hope you don't mind that Harry's here, he was a little down in the dumps, so I invited him!" Neville replied with a smile.

"Of course I don't!" I set my bag down near Harry and rolled up my jeans so I could join Neville in the water. Nothing better than cooling off in the waters, "What's wrong Harry?"

"Oh, nothing really...people are just pissed about the goblet." I nod.

"I mean, I didn't even put my name in! You were there, you saw how it knocked Fred and George out, and they had an aging potion! How could I have put my name in?"

I could tell this whole situation had Harry stressed, it would have me stressed as well if I were in his shoes. The real question was why would anyone want to put Harry's name in the Goblet?

"Well, an older student could have. Unless, the goblet reads the name on the paper, but I seriously doubt that" I add, wadding in the cold water, it felt nice on my warm skin. Harry just sighed in response.

"Wait...aren't you sick or something, V? I heard you passed out after the names were revealed...is it because Cedric's competing?" Harry questioned then teased.

My jaw dropped in shock while Nevilles eyes just widened, "You're dating Cedric?" Neville inquired.

"What? No! No, no I'm not- we're not dating, I don't know why everyone's saying that, but yes, I am sick...ish." I defended.

"We all see the way you guys look at each other, V."

"Harry, you're starting to sound a lot like Hermoine right now, you know that?" I ask sarcastically, "Speaking of, where is she?"

"Probably following Ron around...that jerk." Harry muttered rather unhappily.

I turned to face Neville to ask about what he was doing when I noticed him waving to someone. I turn around to see Hermoine, Ron and Ginny making their way towards us. Speak of the devil- or devils.
