Quick A/N- this might be slightly cringe...

The following morning at Breakfast was quite honestly hell.

Astoria left me behind in our dorm, so I had to walk alone to the Great Hall which wasn't something that happened often. We always walked together, or she would at least notify me that she was going to head over. As soon as I sat down, on the edge of our table mind you, the atmosphere immediately felt off. Everyone stopped their carefree conversation that they were having before I arrived, and it became oddly quiet. Their once happy faces turned to blank one's and it was if I were looking at ghosts. No one greeted me or payed any mind to me for that matter, it was eerie.

"Is anyone going to say hi?" I ask after a while of sitting in awkward silence, "Or say anything for that matter?"

Pansy glared at me before turning back to her food.

"I'm sorry, but I'm confused, why are you all acting this way?"

Matheo harshly sets down his silverware and turns to look at me, "Because you're fraternizing with the enemy, that's why!"

"Excuse me?" I ask, offended.

"Yesterday you ditched us to go hang out with golden boy over there and didn't even tell us. Vivian we're quite offended. After all we did for you." Daphne adds.

"We had quite an interesting conversation about you and your newfound...activities. I mean, you ignore us all summer and then hang out with Potter and his gang of miscreants? It's insulting." Draco criticizes with a scoff.

My look of anger turns to one of disbelief. I open my mouth to say something but am cut off.

"We let you into our group and you can do is hang around mud-bloods and blood traitors, sooner than later you're going to have to choose whose side you're on, McMillan." Matheo concludes with a scowl.

"I- You're not serious, are you?" I ask, appalled by the change in my so called 'friends' behavior. Just recently we were all hanging out and conversing in the common room, playing games and what not, and now they're acting like I'm a bloody traitor? What the hell is going on.

"More than serious." Draco replies.

"I mean, you've gone off the rails recently, Vivian. Defending that pathetic blood traitor of a teacher and ditching me for a mud-blood? Merlin, Vivian it's almost like you're being brainwashed." Pansy spits out, looking me up and down.

I feel a sinking feeling in my stomach and my eyes get a bit glassy. I knew they were never the best friends, but...I don't know it just hurt to hear the cruel words they were saying to me.
