Kazuto has been out cold and stuck in a hospital for one week.
After awakening to his persona and defeating the creature that was called a "shadow", he had collapsed from exhaustion, before everything went dark and blank for him. The last thing he heard was someone calling out to his name.
He would awaken to the presence of his classmate, Shino Asada sitting by his bedside, where the girl told him she, alongside Asuna and the chairman, were concerned about him. She would then apologize to Kazuto for not protecting him, as she was told to do so.
After having a short conversation with the boy about what happened that night, along with personal things, Shino would then tell Kazuto that he was free to leave the hospital the moment he woke up before leaving and returning to their dormitory.
