Embarrassing Parents

Shaking my head I couldn't even count the times my parents embarrassed me.

It's really horrible to be embarrassed by your parents, devastating even.

The only way to avoid those hard times is stay at least 5 feet away from the parent zone.

That's only when guests are around.

If you want to stop embarassment altogether is to avoid, deny, or laugh it off and get them back later.

You can also reverse it and embarrass them. Either way it works.

I even had the stage where your mom goes to every class with you and tries to be, as quoted from my mom, "cool with your peeps." That statement alone had me groaning eternally.

When your parents try to act cool it throws off the so called 'cool balance'. Being "cool" isn't cool when your parents try.

You give them that 'really?' look. Yeah everyone knows that look.

When I give that look to my parents they try to look all innocent but they're fooling no one.

Here are my three most embarrassing moments:

1. Me and my mom went to Walmart one day and she said that I needed new underwear because you know you never could have to much underwear.

Her words not mine.

So we go into the store and she assumes that I may or may not have went up a size. Do you want to know what this crazy woman did? I'll tell you anyway she tore open a pack took out a pair of blue underwear and held it against me right in the store. I was absolutely horrified. I kept looking around trying to see if anyone was looking and thank the blue moon no one was looking. But I knew the camera was...

2. I went to Ruby Tuesdays with my Auntie. We where being walked to our booth when my aunt said rather loudly "did you bring extra period pads" I almost literally died in that spot.

3. When I went to work with my mom. She wanted to light up her coworkers day up. So what she did she do? She started off the Harlem Shake. And she danced for the first 10 seconds. It. Was. Torture.

UGH. I JUST TOLD THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

It's okay to feel bad for me. >.<

Next Chapter: Parents Can't Do What Us Teenagers Do

"Of course, everyone's parents are

embarrassing. It goes with the territory.

The nature of parents is to embarrass

merely by existing, just as it is the

nature of children of a certain age to cringe

with embarrassment, shame, and mortification

should their parents so much as speak to them

on the street. "

― Neil Gaiman

( that quote sums everything up perfectly)
