After Charlotte confessed to Mia that she had fallen in love with her on the day the redhead lost her spot at the nursery, Amelia's mind was awhirl with the realization that someone could finally love her for who she truly was, which filled her heart with warmth.
She had never experienced such a profound emotion before, not once.

Yet, despite this newfound joy, a lingering feeling of unworthiness remained
- curtesy of Roger, of course.

After their conversation in the car park had ended, they both went back to Charlotte's house to cook dinner together.
The house was empty since Charlotte's kids were with their dad so Mia turned on some loud music.
Suddenly, Amelia's phone began ringing. As Charlotte turned off the music, she immediately saw the redhead's whole demeanor change. Mia's heart sank as soon as she recognized the number calling her.

Amelia stared at the phone, raising her eyebrow slightly.
Charlotte stepped closer, concern etched on her face. "Who's calling you?" she asked gently, placing a hand on Amelia's shoulder.
Charlotte's eyes widened as Amelia muttered "Roger" under her breath.
