Charlotte nodded thoughtfully, her eyes filled with concern. "Whatever it is, we'll handle it. Together," she said firmly, offering a reassuring smile.

Just as Mia was about to respond, her phone rang again, startling both of them.
Amelia's heart filled with anger as she picked it up, seeing the same number again.
Taking a deep breath, she answered, trying to steady her voice.

"Roger." she said, her tone tinged with slight annoyance.

"Mia," the familiar voice on the other end replied, "I need you to do something."

Amelia's grip tightened on the phone. "What do you want, Roger?" she asked, trying to keep her voice down. Charlotte sat next to her, listening intently without blinking.

"I need you to come to my office. There's someone who would love to meet you. Be there tomorrow at 3 p.m. Be late and you might regret it," he threatened.

Amelia rolled her eyes and sighed. "Fine," she replied coldly. "I'll be there."

She hung up and turned to Charlotte, who was watching her with a mixture of worry and determination.

"You can't just walk straight into his arms again. Please don't go; You know what he's done in the past. God knows what he has planned now," Charlotte said, her voice filled with frustration.

"As much as I appreciate the concern, you know as well as I do that 'not going' is not an option," the redhead replied. "I have to see what exactly he wants."
