***Deserted Island - Shore***

C.C. POV:

"I suppose that depends......on what you all are you willing to offer to get out of this mess." Azul asks. 'Here we go again' "What does that mean?" Riddle asks. "C'mon, Goldfishie. Do you really think me or Azul'd have any trouble on a deserted island?" Floyd asks in return. "Oh yeah! You're merfolk." Ace says.

"Yup. Swimmin' to another body of land's a piece of cake for us. Meanin' we ain't the ones stuck here. You guys, on the other hand, got no hope of gettin' outta here on your own." Floyd says. "Ugh, here we go with the squeeze play!" Azul says in annoyance. "We're in an emergency situation, and you're gonna extort us?!" Jack says in anger. "Extort you? Please. I simply asked what you're willing to offer. Mind you, help may come later rather than sooner, depending on how you answer..." Azul replies.

"Seems to me like savin' your skins oughta fetch a pretty high price. You might even have to work for us for the rest of your lives." Floyd says. "Please, Floyd. I'm not a monster. Taking the present circumstances into account...I'm willing to offer a contract wherein they'll do whatever I say for one single week once we're back at school." Azul states.

"Dang, Azul, that's super generous! Talk about a good deal." Floyd says. "There's nothing generous about it!" Jack snaps. "Not like we have any other options. And if it's just a week, that IS a pretty decent deal by his usual standards..." Ace says unhappily. "Rgh... We're completely at their mercy. I can't stand it. I don't want to assent!" Riddle says in frustration.

"I could go either way, really. What would you like to do, Yuu?" Appa asks. Bubba thinks for a few minutes before replying. "We could try to manage on our own..." Bubba mumbles. "Dude, what are you doing warm-up exercises for? Are you actually gonna try to swim out and look for land?!" Ace says in shock. "You can't handle that and you know it. Think about it! Even Grim's smart enough not to try a stunt like that!" Jack says.

"Are you makin' fun of me?! Grr... Fine, if that's how it's gonna be! I promise I'll do what you say! Now go get us some help already!" Grim says angrily. "Ahaha. Good lil' customers.

Guess I'll change back into my mer-form and go for a dip. Someone's gotta help the poor crabs who can't swim worth a hoot, right?" Floyd says. "Who are you calling a crab? I demand you wipe that smug look off your face at once!" Riddle says angrily.

"To be fair, merfolk are certainly dependable in their element. They'll find land and get back to us in no time." Appa says. "Of course. Just sit back and relax, everyone. Help will be on the way shortly." Azul says happily. "Be back soon!" Floyd says as he and Azul go into the ocean. "Well, they've dived in. In the meantime, perhaps we could throw together an exciting game of beach flag or—Hm?" Appa says.

"Uhh... Azul and Floyd are back." Grim comments. "Okay, that was way too quick to reach anywhere else. You guys aren't even in mer-form!" Ace exclaims. "What's wrong? I don't like the look on your faces one bit..." Jack asks. I look over and see Azul and Floyd with frowns. "...We can't revert." Azul says. "Huh? You can't revert what?" Ace asks. "To their merform dumbass." I reply, annoyed. "WHAT?!" everyone exclaims.

"There's somethin' weird about these clothes. They're stuck to us. We can't take 'em off. I thought they were just cool duds, but I'm startin' to think they might be magic. And that's keepin' us from goin' back to mer-form. Ahaha, ain't that wild? It's kinda new swimmin' in human form. I thought this place would be a yawn-fest, but now I'm gettin' into this!" Floyd exclaims.

"You see? Deserted islands with extreme conditions are ever so exciting! There's simply no time to get bored! Now then, I suppose the first thing we ought to do is get a campfire going." Appa exclaims happily. "There's nothing fun about it! We have no cell service. No air travel options. No sea travel options. A solitary island with no one else on it. Meaning..." Azul trails off.

"We've no hope of getting help from the outside." Riddle says. Everyone goes silent. "Huh? No way, that's... Uh? Can we seriously not leave this island?...You're kidding, right?" Ace asks, slightly fearful. "There's gotta be something we can do! If we can't fly high up, maybe we could escape by flying at low altitude right over the water." Jack says. "True. We shouldn't call it hopeless right off the bat. Let's try some things." Riddle agrees. "Y... Yes, of course." Azul says hesitantly. "I'll help find one!" Grim says determinedly.

I look to see if Fredbears with me and I find him in the sand before picking him up. "Finally, What took you so long?" he asks, unamused. "Revenge for breaking the Monopoly board" I reply before dusting him off. Fredbear just growls in response and I join back with the group.
