Chapter 3-4-4: Pretty Obvious

***Deserted Island - Sea***

C.C. POV:

"Okay, THAT one took a little work...but I was never gonna let some chump take me in a fight. How're Shrimpy and the others holdin' up?...Eh, guess it's pretty obvious." Floyd states as we swim to shore.

***Deserted Island - Shore***

"Whew. Are you two all right?" Azul asks. "Thank you so much." Bubba says. "You just had a dangerously close shave, and you're taking the time to thank me? Where are your priorities? Also, I prefer for thanks to be expressed through actions, not words. I trust you'll properly repay my heroism later. As for Stitch..." Azul says while Bubba frowns at Azul. "Raaaarrrr!" Stitch growls at Azul and gets ready to attack. "Whoa! Settle down, it's me! If you've got the energy to growl like that, I suppose you're not in any serious danger. Don't scare me like that again, Stitch. I never would've imagined there existed a creature incapable of swimming...But the sheer strength with which you clung to Yuu boggled the mind. It was no simple matter prying you off. You might've thwarted my efforts entirely if we hadn't been underwater." Azul states as Stitch calms down.

"Hey, Azul, nice work." Floyd says as we walk over to the group. "Likewise. About the robots you trashed..." Azul starts. "If you're gonna tell me to salvage their parts, save your breath. I got 'em right here. Not a corner cut." Floyd says. "Heh. It seems this job was all too easy for you." Azul states while I hug Bubba. "BWAH!" I hear Grim breathe as Ace drags him over to us. "I finally got Grim to shore." Ace states. "Mrah... *sputter* Now I'm soakin' wet, and my fur's all matted!" Grim complains. "It couldn't have been easy maneuvering underwater with him in tow. Nicely done for a human, Ace." Azul praises. "No kiddin'. From what little bit I saw, you were swimmin' about as decently as a fingerling. My swimming lessons must've paid off." Floyd states.

"Listen, I'm not gonna say I'm NOT thankful for the pointers...But MAN, am I tired. Can I please have a break?!" Ace asks. "Y'know what? That's fair. You pulled your weight. Take a break, but don't get used to it. Then once you're rested up, bring Little Shrimpy, Sealie, and Stitch back to the bungalow." Floyd says. "Good idea. Stitch is still weak from the looks of things and could do with proper bedrest." Azul states while I walk over to Stitch and have him get on my back. "Sounds good to me!" Ace exclaims. "And after that, go gather fruit." Floyd orders. "Really? Aren't you being kinda demanding here?! I was thinkin' I'd rest up myself when I brought the others back." Ace says.

"I mean, you can if you want. Shame, though. I was gonna make somethin' fancy for dinner tonight..." Floyd sighs. "What kinda fancy we talking?" Ace asks. "Oh, you know, if I could get my hands on some oranges, I might whip up a nice, tart sauce to go on some fish meunière..." Floyd rambles while Ace and Grim drool. "And if I had coconut milk, I could whip up a soup. Yup, real shame there." Floyd says sadly. "That sounds so good!" Grim exclaims. "Okay, that changes everything! I'd be happy to gather some fruit for you!" Ace exclaims. "Seems to me you still have plenty of energy." Azul states. "Ooh, if I find mangos and bananas, could you make us some sorta chilled dessert?" Ace asks happily. "Sure, if I'm in the mood." Floyd states nonchalantly. I hoist Stitch up on my back. "All right! C'mon, guys. Let's get Stitch to the bungalow, quick!" Ace exclaims. "Yeah! We're eatin' good tonight!" Grim exclaims happily.

"Crabby skipped the break and just took off runnin' for the house." Floyd observes as Ace runs off to the Bungalow. "What a calculating group they are. I just hope for their sake you still feel like cooking tonight." Azul states. "Maybe I will, maybe I won't. I'm sure people are gettin' hungry by now. We should get these fish back... Hm. But this ain't gonna be enough. Let's go bully a few more." Floyd says. "Heh. I feel sorry for the local marine life." Azul says smiling before I join the others, carrying Stitch to the Bungalow.
