"Aye, keep it in a straight line! Mingi, to my right, Yeosang to my left! We've got this storm handled, just hold the ropes!"

Hongjoong shouted across the ship, his gruff voice followed with a laugh as he turned the wheel this way and that to steady their ship amongst the heavy waves. The waves, pushed and pulled by the rays of the moon, the thunder and lightning snapping above them so aggressively he swore he could feel it rumble within him. Despite all this, he still had his grin, the grin that had gotten him into trouble many times. His reputation as the omega captain with no real authority sparkling across the mainland as if it was the biggest gossip the shores had heard.

He tore the wheel back and forth, his stance wide and his eyes serious as the wind whipped his hair this way and that. Oh, they were going to weather this storm. They had to!

Mingi growled as he pulled the ropes back, steadying out the sail with the help of Yeosang, the pair practically standing back to back at this point just with the effort of holding their sail back. "Captain, we have to go to the shore! I swear, if this thing tips over-"

"Not going to happen, Mingi!" Hongjoong chimed with a laugh. "We've come so far, wouldn't it be a tad weak of us to just go ashor- San! San, take the helm! I've gotta go up-"

"Aye!" San yelled loudly with hopes that his voice could be heard over the thrashing waves. The alpha wasted no time and sprinted towards the crazed spinning helm. The wheel spun without purpose, matching the raging sea. Once there, the alpha strongly gripped at the wood, wincing as he could feel splinters digging into his hands due to the pressure of the spinning. "It's stabilized! I'll try my best to keep it steady!" San spoke through gritted teeth, his veins popping in his neck. Of course the smart thing to do would be to dock and wait the storm out, but his omega captain was fearless and optimistic. Sometimes that came back to bite them in the ass for sure. The so-called captain was now high up with the mainsail, moving with ease like a squirrel. Never in his whole life had San met a daring omega like him.

Hongjoong was already running before the alpha could say anything, taking a running leap and scaling the main sail with ease. He sat atop and went on his way tying the ropes back where they had ripped apart from the sail, sending the fabric flying about, their boat losing its steadiness with no hope of regaining it. But he just had to weather the storm. He had to. If only to prove his honor, if only to save his crew. It was another rumor about him. Reckless, dangerous, flighty. Rebel alphas and uneducated omegas claimed that he was a danger to himself as well as his crew. Omegas can't be captains and they never should be captains. But god, how badly he wanted to prove them wrong.

How badly he wanted to prove Seonghwa wrong...

Yeosang's hands were burning horribly from the rope. The alpha pressed his back into Mingi's in hopes the two could find balance against each other. "Mingi don't let go! If we let go, captain is as good as dead up there!" As if he spoke out a curse, a harsh wind yanked Yeosang forwards.

Mingi growled as he wrapped the ropes around his fists, leaning back into Yeosang and giving a nod. "Aye!" He grumbled, pressed his body back into the other, stabilizing his feet once again before Yeosang went flying. "Yeosang!" He called, grunting as he had to pull the ropes a little tighter, the ship rocking roughly.

The alpha yelped and body slammed into the wood. Acting quickly, Yeosang immediately got onto his knees and turned his body around. Leaning away from where the rope was turning, he attempted to hold down the rope with his body weight. "Captain! I'm not sure how much longer we can keep this held down! Can you see any calm waters up there?!" Yeosang yelled with a hint of anger lingering. San chimed in, his voice shaky, "the ship can't take much more!"
