Yeosang leaned back in his chair, fully relaxed at this table. Yeosang enjoyed being alone for the most part. Yes, he loved his crew with his whole heart, but at the same time- he loved to be away from his crew with his whole heart. He smiled and took another sip of his beer, freezing soon after. There was a smell now in the air..a smell he knew well...

Cherries.

Why was he smelling cherries? The alpha placed his glass down and sat up, looking around frantically for the source of the scent. He abandoned his drink and stood, pushing past people. If this scent was him.. he'd be in complete shock.

It's been years since he had seen his Jongho. The two were orphans back in the past, basically connected at the hip since meeting. Yeosang would be lying if he said Jongho wasn't his first and only love. Of course, since they were separated Yeosang had tried to get with other omegas- he was an alpha after all. Yet, he never forgot about Jongho.

Jongho stepped into the tavern quickly alongside his crew, though, he immediately faltered when that sharp scent of coffee met his nostrils. His smile fell and he looked around for the source of the smell. The smell he hadn't smelt in... years. He exhaled shakily as he followed the scent, glancing around the tavern desperately. Was it him..?

The alpha took a few more steps before pausing and staring at who he couldn't believe was Jongho. The omega had gotten taller but was still a smidge shorter than Yeosang. He was also more built and pretty thick on his biceps and thighs. Yeosang approached the red haired omega and just stared, unable to speak or move as if he was hexed. He reached out with a shaky hand, poking the male as if to check if he was real. His first and only love. Right in front of him.

As if by some divine force, the crowd seemed to part, and in front of him stood the man he had thought about each and every day. Every book Jongho read was the two of them, every poem Seonghwa would recite was Yeosang all along. His eyes sparkled with tears and, as Yeosang reached out to touch him, he allowed himself to reach out as well, their fingertips brushing so gently, like the male in front of him was nothing but an apparition, something of his imagination. He glanced to their connected hands, meeting his eyes as easily as he could before... before they were torn away from each other.

"Y... Yeosang..." he whispered, too quiet for his own good, too loud for the room around them. He felt the tears welling up before he could even utter a word, his eyes frozen on that head of pink hair, his heart skipping with each inhale of coffee. He exhaled shakily and rushed forward to embrace him, his arms wrapping around his waist so tightly, tears flooding his cheeks as he pressed his face to the center of his chest, so much more broad and muscular than he had been so long ago.

Yeosang was quick to accept the embrace. A feeling he so longed for on cold lonely nights on the seas. His chest burned with happiness and his heart was beating incredibly fast. The alpha pushed a hand into Jongho's hair, holding onto him tightly as if he could vanish at any moment. "Where have you been?" Yeosang gave the omega one last night squeeze before gently pushing him away. He slowly reached for Jongho's face, wiping away his tears with his thumb. "I...I can't believe you're right in front of me. I feel as if I'm trapped with a dream. Do you live on this island?!" Yeosang bent his body slightly to stare into his eyes more at level.

Jongho's breath hitched as he held onto him so tightly, the smell of coffee satiating every raw nerve that ran through him. That pit of anxiety melted away with the warmth he held so tightly in his arms. He pulled away reluctantly as the alpha spoke, meeting his eyes easily before he released a laugh of pure relief. His cheeks flooded with tears as he raised his hands to Yeosang's cheeks, caressing his face so gently in his palms, as if reassuring himself that this was real, his Yeosang was here right in front of him.

"I-I've been on the sea. My, um... my ship. My captain takes us everywhere, w-we've been everywhere." He sniffled, his eyes closing as he leaned into the palms on his face, releasing a slow and shaky breath before meeting his eyes once again. "What happened to you, Yeosang? Where did you go?" He sniffled, wiping his own nose before wrapping his arms around the alpha once again, only feeling satiated when he could feel their heartbeats synchronize. "I-I..." I missed you... the words were lost on his tongue as he sniffled and wiped his own tears away once again. "You look good, Yeosang. You look healthy." He nodded, smiling up to him and reaching for his hands gently.

Yeosang blinked in shock. Jongho was a pirate also? Fate worked in odd ways. "You look stronger yourself." Yeosang brushed his fingertips over the younger's biceps. "I've also been on the seas. My captain takes care of us really well." Yeosang smiled happily. From the question of where he went, his face dropped. "I had to leave that place. I.." the alpha sighed and pressed a hand to his temple. "I never stopped thinking about you. I'm sorry for leaving you Jongho.." mentally, Yeosang was already swearing to never leave him again. The thought of losing the love of his life again...tore him up inside horribly.

Jongho shivered softly at the other's touch, goosebumps prickling across his skin despite himself and he sniffled as he met his eyes once again. They sparkled with joy when he learned the other was also at sea, a bright smile gracing his features as he gently took his face into the palms once again. "And the sea brought you back to me..." He whispered softly, his features softening as the other spoke and immediately he was shaking his head. "Don't apologize, Yeosang. I-If anything, I left you. I left you wh-when I should've stayed. We could've had everything by now..." He was tearing up all over again, thumbs brushing over his cheeks, eyes searching Yeosang's so desperately. "We could've started a family..." He whispered with a saddened smile. "Do you remember when we talked of it? Of our house in the woods, of you chopping firewood while I rocked our babies to sleep. Do you remember it?" He whispered, begging for the other to take him back, to drag him away from everything, to never leave his side again. "I-I'm sorry, Yeosang..." He whimpered, his lip quivering all over again as he quickly moved to wipe his tears away. "I-I understand if you never want to see me again, after what I did to you. But please, grant me the relief and say you remember me. Remember us."

Yeosang's shoulders slouched as he listened to Jongho, his heart feeling as if it was being squeezed. "Jongho.." the alpha looked him over once more. Something about him seemed different but he couldn't quite pinpoint it. "I remember everything, how could I forget you my love." Yeosang spoke with a deep voice, a hint of hurt in his voice. "I.." He took a deep breath and continued, "I never want to leave you again." The pink haired male slowly took Jongho's hands into his own. "I still want all of that. Every night I would dream of you." Yeosang then smiled, "maybe you can leave your crew and join mine! We can stay together- I'm sure my captain would be fine with it."

Jongho smiled bright as the other spoke, his cheeks overflowing with tears and his hands squeezing onto his lover oh so tightly. He hiccuped and released a weak laugh. "E-every night." He felt the sentiment so deeply, the feeling rolling through him like the strongest waves of the strongest tide. He faltered a bit as the others spoke of joining his crew, his eyes briefly peeking to his tall blonde omega crewmate at the bar before back to Yeosang's eyes. "I-I can't leave my crew, Yeosang. They're my family now." He frowned softly, reaching a hand up to cup his cheek. "M-maybe you could come with us? We have enough room, a-and you would love my crew mate. You would get along so well." He sniffled and smiled weakly.

Yeosang frowned and shook his head. "I can't leave my crew they need me." In the past Jongho would follow Yeosang around like a puppy no matter what, now he wouldn't. While that hurt a bit, he understood their life experiences probably play a part. He'd be lying if he said he didn't yearn for Jongho to change his mind.

Past his red hair, Yeosang caught sight of Hongjoong leaving, followed by a rushed San. Not liking the situation he looked back to Jongho, "I think my crew is leaving, but we're not leaving the island." Yeosang paused and held Jongho's face, taking in his beauty. "I'll be back to see you soon." Yeosang leaned forwards and pressed a kiss to Jongho's forehead. With that he hurried away, swinging past Mingi. "Mingi time to go hurry up." He sighed as he followed out after his crew.
