[Flashback to a few days before Jin answered Jungkook's call.]
"Brat, you haven't been eating properly. Please, don't do this. We're worried about you. Hyung and I can't even focus at work because we're always thinking about you. We're just... really worried. You won't even let me take leave from work to stay here with you."
Jin sat in silence, his mind clouded. He didn't want to worry them, but the truth was, he could barely bring himself to eat. "I hate them both. Why did they have to be my family?" The weight of it all felt suffocating, and he didn't know how to deal with it. "I don't know how to fix this. It's good the wedding got moved, but why hasn't it been canceled? I thought Yoongi didn't want to get married. Why do I have to be in this mess? And Jungkook... I'm sure he hates me now, more than before he even met me," he said, his voice breaking as he struggled to breathe through his sobs.
There was a long pause before Taehyung spoke quietly. "I don't have all the answers, but you're not alone in this. You don't have to carry it all by yourself. We're here, okay? No matter what you're going through."
The sincerity in Taehyung's voice made Jin's walls crumble. He felt everything he'd been holding in come rushing to the surface. Before he could stop himself, Taehyung pulled him into a tight embrace. Jin's chest tightened as he broke down. He clung to Taehyung, his tears falling freely, not caring about anything else in that moment.

"Are you sure your son isn't in contact with that man?" Moonbin asked.
"Jin barely leaves the house, and when he does, he's always with his bodyguards. Plus, like you instructed, both he and that man are being watched 24/7," Il-guk replied.
"Good. And I don't want your other sons getting involved in this again. Tell them to stay out of it. When it comes to their brother, they lose all sense of reason. They even convinced Yoongi to push the wedding back."
"I'll talk to them. Yoongi's not exactly thrilled about the wedding, but I got him to agree to another dinner with them." Il-guk replied.
"Well, you should talk to them, especially Taehyung. It's about time you grew a backbone and became the authority figure you're supposed to be in your family. I've helped you so much that you never learned to build any strength. Back then, you were so weak, blinded by whatever you thought was love. When your wife died, you turned to alcohol to numb the pain. And look where that got you. You're still weak. Namjoon's got more backbone than you when it comes to taking control."
Il-guk swallowed hard, but stayed silent.
"Just a hint that Jin's talking to that bastard, make sure to hurt him and let Jin witness it. Got it? Keep the surveillance going on him too. Make sure he doesn't do anything against us. Remember, it'll be your ass on the line, and it's heading straight to prison if that useless man ever gets a chance with someone who can't be bought with money. The only reason I haven't killed him already is because he's leverage to make Jin follow my orders and marry the Min heir. Without that, he would've been dead by now. But if he gets in the way, I won't hesitate."

"What do you want? Why are you even here?" Jin's eyes burned with fury as he glared at his father.
"We know you're still getting calls from that guy and you're smart enough not to answer. Whatever you're planning, just stop. If we find out you're still in contact with him—and we will—he's dead." II- guk said, his voice low and menacing.
