My Perfect Storm💞

Chapter 28

It took about two hours to get to the very top of the waterfall and I have to admit, it's the most beautiful site I have ever seen. The water flows down from in between two mountains that were covered with grass and some lavender coloured flowers. I don't think I have seen a a prettier waterfall before, the two hour hike up here was so worth it, I genuinely am obsessed.

"Hey doll" his voice instantly makes me smile

I could feel him right behind me but hearing him whisper I knew I shouldn't turn around

"Hi mani" I whisper back

"Look to your left, do you see the little pathway down?" He asks

I turn my head and find a pathway going down towards something but we were so high up, I couldn't figure out what it was leading to

"Yeah"

"In exactly 20 minutes, walk towards it while taking picture, be careful though because it is a little steep" he whispers

"Why?"

"Why isn't the right response, just say yeah"

"Nooooo, what if I get kidnapped or die?"

"I won't let you get kidnapped unless I am the kidnapper"

'Woah handsome kidnapper" I giggle

"Nandini"

"You didn't say anything about dying"

"Over my dead body" he mumbles

Even though I hadn't even turned around I knew he had walked away because his warmth, his smell was fading.

I giggle when the water from the waterfall splatters on my face, it was so nice and refreshing. I took a whole bunch of pictures of the waterfall and of navya and cabir too, they looked adorable laughing together.

When I moved my phone from cabir and navya ,I couldn't help but take a few pictures of my monster, he was looking down in his phone, a soft smile on his face as he bites his lip to prevent smiling fully, he was looking at something.

As guided by Manik, I walk towards the pathway very carefully because he wasn't wrong it was very steep. Of course right as I think that my foot slips but I don't fall, instead a pair of arms grabs me

"Shh don't yell" Manik mumbles as his arm wraps around my waist and his other hand was on my face so I don't scream

i took a couple breaths calming down because shit, that was scary

"I told you to be careful, didn't I?" He asks

I pout against his hand making him smirk

"Pouting isn't getting you anywhere doll, but seriously I am very upset with you"

"Mhbfibfgl"

"Yeah see I don't speak gibberish, darling" he mumbles clearing enjoying the fact that my words sounded like a damn bird but his hand was covering my mouth

I point at his hand and he nods but doesn't take his hand off

"I didn't think you could get prettier" he says pushing my hair away from my forehead

He smiles when I mumble a whole bunch of nothing, finally he moves his hand and I smack his chest making him laugh.

Gosh, I don't think I have ever seen a more beautiful sight, even the waterfall is nothing compared to the sight of Manik laughing

"Why don't you laugh more often?" I couldn't help but ask

He looks down at me because he is so damn tall so I am sure I look like a child in front of him
