Chapter 40

Nandini's pov

I woke up feeling some movement beside me, I turn to my left which is where manik sleeps, to the left of me but I couldn't find him there when I tried to feel him with my hands.

My eyes open faster than they should because I hate waking up alone in bed, ever since I have moved in with manik, I need to feel him right there beside me before I open my eyes

"Manik" I whisper sitting up

Something crunches on my right side making me jump until I realize it was a box, 'MY DOLL' the box read

I grab the box untying the bow on it, I grab the little card with his writing and place it in my drawer before I begin to unbox it

A beautiful red babydoll dress with the biggest black bow on the back, a pair of black sandals and some heels were in the box along with another letter

'Hey darling, please put on the dress and the sandals I have in the box, do not wear the heels, you will trip and fall but I know you have been wanting some nude heels so that's why they are in there, love you' the note read

"You are so perfect manik" I whisper kissing the note before I placed it in my drawer

I got up and grabbed my towel along with the dress walking to the bathroom where I find another box with a bow on it and a name card, 'MY BABY' the card read

'Hey cutie, I love the way you smell but I know you love this scent so here you go. Meet me downstairs, love you, manik' the note says

When I unpack a little more I find 6 different perfumes along with a whole set of body gel, lotion, cream, scrubs, literally everything I could ever need. It also had my favourite perfume in it with a heart drawn on it.

"Gosh, why are you so perfect manik?" I mumble getting in the shower

I got ready in the dress manik got for me and let me tell you, this man knew my size to the tee because it was perfect, it wasn't lose or tight, just perfect just like him. I blow-dried my hair doing little braids in the front putting it all up in a high ponytail.

I put the sandals on and unlock the door only to find a couple balloons by the door, I lean down and grab the balloons walking downstairs

"Manik" I call

"Hold on, just stay where you are" he yells back

"But I wanna see you"

"You will baby, just hold on"

"Okay" I mumble playing with the balloons

"Close your eyes"

"No"

"Nandini darling, close your eyes"

I sigh really loud because I dramatic as crap, hearing me he chuckles

"They are closed" I tell him closing my eyes

i could feel his presence behind me but he also wasn't right behind me by any means.

"Mani"

"Keep em close my love" his whisper brings goosebumps to my body

"Mani what are you doing?" I ask feeling a cloth on my eyes

"Shh, trust me"

"always" I reply

Even thought I couldn't see him, I could feel him smiling and that already gives me all the happiness. I love when manik is happy.

"You look absolutely stunning doll" he whispers

His lips touch my shoulder making me shudder, the fact that my eyes are closed, I am way more sensitive to everything
