He'd never been a jealous man. Azu had been with a lot of women and had never felt the need to possess one until that afternoon. What exactly about Ijeoma was making him feel this way? Truthfully she was not the most beautiful or hottest woman he knew, but somehow she was special. Was it because he was her first? She'd pleased a lot of men, and he'd never felt jealousy thinking about them, but he was the first man to please her. Was that it?

Maybe now that he'd shown her how good it could be she'd leave him and decide to go explore. The thought stung his heart, causing him to grimace. The woman in question was currently beside him seething and in so much anger. She was never a jovial person but she'd never been hostile to him before. If looks could kill, he'd have been long dead by now.

How was he going to explain himself for what happened? It wasn't something he'd done before with anyone. This was very new to him. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he knew that he was wrong and had fucked up colossally but there was no part of him that wanted to apologize for it. That man had been touching what was his and she had seemed so comfortable with him. He remembered how he'd wrapped his hands around Ijeoma and she was busy smiling at whatever the bastard was saying.

"Hey! Stop the car I want to get down!" Ijeoma suddenly slammed the back of the driver's seat. "Unlock this door!"

"Can you chill? We'd be there soon," he said to her. She hissed without even looking at him, continuing to slam her fist at the seat. At this rate, she'd either hurt herself or cause an accident. He reached for her hands, holding tightly even when she tried to pull away. "Ahmed find a quiet street or parking lot and park the car."

"Okay sir."

"This is practically kidnapping, you know. I'm going to report you. You harassed me and my guest and then threw me into the car!" She suddenly jerked her hand free, then slammed into the drivers' seat. "You're an accomplice too, you bastard. Where are you taking me? Let me out of this fucking car." She snapped the seatbelt off and lunged at the driver, her fingers curled like claws, causing the man to swerve. His fast reflexes were the only thing that saved them from slamming into an incoming car.

Azu immediately reached for her, pulling her into his laps and tightening his hand around her. She was struggling to breathe now, her nails digging into his arms as she wheezed. "Ahmed, the street up there." He kissed Ijeoma's neck, hoping to distract her from her panicked state but it was like she was no longer feeling anything. She just continued to scratch at him and wheeze loudly.

"Get out," he ordered immediately Ahmed parked the car. The man didn't hesitate, shutting the door behind him and walking off. Azu watched him walk for a few seconds, noting where he went to before snapping his own belt off. He dropped Ijeoma on her back, moving to kneel beside her.

Her eyes were glazed, looking but not seeing anything. "You're fine, baby. Breathe for me." Her nails were still holding onto him and he was sure she'd draw blood, but that was a problem for later. "Everything is okay, just relax and breathe in."

"He hit that car," she let out in a tiny voice that was now hoarse. "He hit that car because of me!"

"He didn't. He swerved at the right moment. We're fine, Ahmed is fine. And none of this was your fault, so just breathe."

"Yes. It was all your fault. You kidnapped me!" She suddenly sat up, her earlier panic now gone. "Get off me, Azu."

He sat back on his heels, giving her just enough space to put her feet back on the floor. "That's because I wanted to talk to you. I knew if I let you go, you'd avoid me. It's what you do well, run and avoid."

"Coming from the person who messed up?"

"I know I messed up but you should let me explain before deciding to quit on me."
