Waking up beside Ijeoma always got him feeling refreshed. Try as hard as he could to blame it on a good night of rest, Azu knew who the cause of his good mood was. She muttered something in her sleep as he untangled their limbs and the man couldn't help himself from smiling. He placed a kiss on her lip causing her to grumble more before he finally slid out of bed. He had a lot of things to do today, but he wanted to revel in these little moments with her. They'd spent the night talking and laughing about odd things, and they'd fallen asleep without having sex, which was still a shock for him. Even though all they'd done was chat, Azu felt giddy and almost drunk on life. He found himself humming in the shower and shook his head at his reflection in the mirror. After getting dressed, he checked on her to find she was still asleep, hugging the pillow he had used. He wondered if she thought it was him and Azu had to stop himself from slipping back into bed.
He entered the kitchen, turned the lights on and went about fixing breakfast. He was not a chef by any means, usually he ate out, but years of being on his own had thought him the basics. He could throw together a nice breakfast. He fried eggs and some sausages, toasted bread and cut up some fruits he found in her fridge. After plating them, he set about making her coffee; which was something he'd learned last night. His girl hated tea, except the tea in question was milk and chocolate, which was technically not tea. His girl? He smiled and shook his head. He added a lot of cream and one sugar to the coffee, amazed at how much he'd been able to retain from their conversations last night.
He set everything on a tray, then opened her back door that led to her garden. This place held so much memories for him, causing him to smile once more. At the rate he was going, his cheek would start hurting soon. He picked some random flowers that had fallen, haven no idea what they were, just grabbing as many as he could. He rinsed them in the sink and placed them in a tiny vase that he found.
When he carried everything back into the bedroom, she was no longer in bed. He could hear her brushing her teeth and humming. So he wasn't the only person in a good mood. He set the tray on her bedside drawer and then went to find her. She was gagging on her toothbrush and Azu couldn't believe he also found that adorable.
"Good morning." She smiled at him, bending to rinse her mouth. Azu grabbed her from behind, wrapping his arms around her waist. "Someone's excited." She wiggled against his crotch and he wasn't even surprised that he was already thickening. This was his life now.
"Good morning." He kissed her neck, trying so hard not to draw in deep breaths like a dog. "I have a breakfast meeting so I need to run. I just wanted to hold you for a bit."
She turned in his arms, getting on the tip of her toes to kiss him. He tried not to linger but he was only a man, a weak one where she was concerned. She giggled against his lips and settled back on her feet, ending the kiss. "Have a nice day."
"What are your plans for today?" He really needed to get moving but he couldn't detach himself from her.
"A sip and paint with your female friends. I'm inviting my friend too and I think they said something about shopping too, but I don't know how they'll want to shop after this past week."
"Ada is going to be there too? Where she can't sip anything?"
"There are virgin drinks too, you know."
"Ah." She pulled away from him and headed out to the room, he wasn't even surprised right behind her. Azu grabbed his jacket and briefcase then turned back to see her staring at the try. "Enjoy your breakfast, baby."
"You made me this? It's barely eight am." She covered her mouth with both hands, her eyes roving from the food to him and back. "You picked flowers too." She began laughing.
