He couldn't help the laugh that spilled out of him at the comical situation waiting for them in front of the lounge. Ada was glaring at Aria who was sitting cross legged on the floor and hugging her broken heel. Kachi immediately picked his woman up, carrying her in a front piggyback. Azu looked around, not finding the woman who'd captured his attention all day. He looked to Ada, and as if knowing the question before he'd even asked, she pointed to a parked car.Azu hurried to it, immediately sighting Ijeoma reclined in the back seat, her head on her friend, Jemimah's lap. Jemimah saw him first and grinned, pushing the door open. "Hey. She just dozed off."
"Is she okay though?" He slid in, grabbing Ijeoma's legs and putting them on the floor of the car. She roused, her eyes resting on him for a few seconds before she grinned.
"Yeah. She didn't even drink as much as me. I didn't know she was such a lightweight."
"Zubby!" Ijeoma seemed excited, sitting up to throw her hands around him. One smacked him in the face and he quickly caught the other before she could hit him. "You're here."
"Hey baby." He returned her smile. "How you feeling?"
"Very good." She pressed her face to his shoulder.
"Alcohol will do that to you," he teased. Jemimah quietly left the car, joining Ada, Chike and Chukwudeh. Chike waved at him then pointed towards his lounge before the three of them went in, Jemimah leaning on Chukwudeh for support. Azu smiled then turned back to the woman in his arms.
"Are you tipsy?"
"Nope. I'm horny." She grinned.
"The group are going back in, but I can take you home."
She blinked, staring out the window for a bit before shaking her head. "I want to go with them. I want to drink some more and dance."
"You've drank enough."
"I'm really not drunk. I was a bit tipsy but I had a quick nap and now I'm good. Today has been a lot of fun and I don't want it to end."
"So you had fun without me?" Azu pouted a little. She grinned and grabbed his face, planting a brief kiss on his lips. "You didn't even miss me a little?" he asked when she pulled away.
"I did! I missed you so much and I kept texting you but you didn't text back."
"Didn't get any texts," he muttered, pulling her into his lap so she was straddling him. Ijeoma reached for her purse and got her phone out. She scrolled for a bit before bursting into laughter. "What?"
"You know we use iMessage right? I didn't turn my data on so none of them got delivered." He tried to hide his frown, feeling a bit cheated. He'd wished she'd texted him all day. If he could turn back time now, he would so he could call her and ask her to turn her data on.
"Let me see them." She handed him the phone and in no time he was laughing. She'd texted him a lot, most of them didn't make any sense but he would have been very happy to get them. She'd texted him pictures too. Azu turned her data connection on and clicked resend on all twenty seven of her messages and the pictures before handing it back to her.
"Kiss me," she said, her eyes shining with want.
He immediately pulled her closer, melding their lips. He let out a groan at the taste and feel of her, already feeling like he'd found what was missing in his entire day. He could feel the strain of the day dissolving and he could hear his blood pump faster in his veins. Ijeoma moaned and rocked forward against me. He wanted their close gone, he wanted her much closer but they were parked in front of the lounge.
