Sanemi was trying to catch up with Yuri. He didn't want to leave this moment alone. He figured she would have gone to the butterfly mansion. Surely enough, he spots her already leaving the building with her knapsack and sees her running into the night without a lantern or anything.
He decides to follow her.
Yuri was feeling her lips as she was running into the night. She pictured what had happened and how wrong it felt. 'Kyojuro... please forgive me...' She was becoming quicker as her speed was gaining momentum. She was an hour away from their home.
There was a path that she normally took that wouldn't compromise the main road of the hidden village. Sanemi was still following her. He was concerned for her wellbeing.
Yuri was using her own demon strength to go beyond the limits of speed that a human can do. She was able to get back to the cabin in less than 20 minutes. "Kyojuro!" She called for him. Panting, she dropped her things before heading to the bedroom where he was laying.
"Kyojuro... I can't be without you.. You need to wake up! I need you to be here with me!" She cried while on her knees at his bedside. "Wake up, please wake up! I need you!"
Sanemi lost sight of her. Frustrated with himself, he was going to keep trying to find her. He wanted her to understand that Kyojuro is gone and she needed to move on.
—
Yuri was feeling his warmth on the bed while she told him everything. "...And that's all that happened...I'm sorry... I don't want you to be mad at me... I also don't want you to hate Sanemi either... I came running to you as soon as it started; I can't be without you.."
Kyojuro is able to hear her. He was angry; she didn't notice his brows slightly furrowed. But he wasn't angry with her. He felt if he wasn't in this state, Sanemi wouldn't have made a move on her. But doesn't blame him; he remembers Sanemi telling him a story about a girl he once loved but stood him up. He didn't realize it was about Yuri.
He knew in his heart that Yuri in the end picked him as he picked her. He was fighting the physical state that he's in to touch her. Yuri kept her head down while sobbing uncontrollably. "Kyojuro... I... I... need you..."
Kyojuro fought his physical state...he lifted his hand and gently placed it over her head. "Y....Yuri...D...don't cry... my love..." Yuri felt his hand on her head. She quickly looks up with tearful eyes. Kyojuro was lying there, smiling at her. He looked weak.
"Kyojuro!" She made her way quickly to touch his face. He allowed her to. He wiped the tears from her eyes. "Don't cry. I'm here.." She was sobbing and so relieved that he woke up. "You don't know how much I've missed you! I was lost without you!"
He sits up and brings her closer to him by letting her on the bed with him. She clings to him so strongly. He lifts her chin up to face him. "Hey, I'm not angry at you for what happened with Sanemi. You're still my flame." He smiles. "Understand? You're always what sets my heart a blaze. You worked hard to bring me back. Your love for me is infinite. I can't think of anyone I'd rather love besides you."
He spoke softly to her. She was loving his words. He kisses her lips deeply. Running her fingers through his hair, she sits up and gets on his lap facing him. He was surprised to see her opening her kimono to him. They kissed with the most passion they have ever had shared with each other.
"Love me again, Kyojuro.." Yuri begged. Kyojuro granted her request and turned the tables on her. She kissed his lips with such passion. They consummated. She was being vocal with each thrust he landed on her.
Sanemi was only half way to her location. He at this point felt if she wanted to be found, she would have made it easy for him. But he decides to head back. Self lecturing himself by thinking he was a complete fool for allowing himself to open up like that. 'She doesn't want you! Why do you still try?!'
—
Yuri looked into her love's eyes and was shocked to see they looked like demon eyes. His teeth were sharpening as he continued to thrust. "Kyojuro.. Your eyes.." She was worried that he was different. Her mind instantly fogs once her peak was rising. She was lost now to ecstasy.
—
Blood was flooding her vision. She was back in the veil. Swimming towards Kyojuro. She continued to try and reach him as he was floating. She got closer and saw he wasn't him. It was a different demon. She stopped herself from reaching him, assuming it was a mirage.
She frantically looked around to try and find him. "Kyojuro!" She didn't see him anywhere. Once she looked back at the floating demon who she thought was him, it came for her, about to attack. Scaring her awake.
—
Panting while sitting up, she looks around and sees she's on the bed. The sun was up. She overslept. Looking around, she realized Kyojuro wasn't in bed. "Kyojuro?" She quickly grabs her kimono and looks for him. Sure enough, she was relieved to see him sitting at the table, enjoying all the rice and ramen he could ever want.
"Good morning." She goes over to kiss him. He smiles and stands to greet her with a kiss. "Good morning. Please enjoy breakfast with me, Yuri." He chows down. Yuri was in fact hungry and slowly started to eat. Remembering last night about his eyes, she looked at Kyojuro and was concerned.
"Love, do you feel...any different?" He was munching away. "Different how?" Yuri blushed, always finding him adorable when he ate. "Like, demon different?" Kyojuro stopped eating and looked at her. He knew she would ask this question. He places down the bowl and looks at her eyes. "You brought me back using both mine and your blood, correct?"
"More like, your blood, my soul." She confessed. "I see..." He was quiet for a moment. "It would seem that a part of your soul is in me now. What we did last night was absolutely amazing, but it did send me into a frenzy. Like I wanted to devour you but I couldn't bring myself to do it. Yet the feeling of me loving and wanting to protect you remained."
Yuri was surprised by his words. "Are you upset with me for bringing you back?" Kyojuro was lost in thought until she asked him such a question. He smiles at her. "No. It does not. I'm honestly honored to know you loved me that much... enough to lose a piece of your own soul just to bring me back. I won't lie; I was ready to die. I had sacrificed myself to fight a demon that ended up killing me... But I am here... Here to try again."
He looks at her. "I think it's best if you don't put yourself out there again. I'll take over." He sips his tea. Yuri shook her head. "I can't back out now. I am training demon slayers with their blocking technique. I think it would be best if you rest here for a change... I can handle it." She reassures him.
Kyojuro caressed her face. Making her blush. "I always knew you were strong. But still, I don't want you facing this alone... I will accompany you... as your mentor, not just your fiance."
Yuri remembered the ring. She was still wearing it. "Will we ever get married?" Kyojuro takes her hand, seeing the ring. "Of course. I just want to have a wedding where we could have all our friends and family to be a part of it."
Yuri sees the ring again and smiles. "Mrs. Yuri Rengoku." She then remembers Sanemi. "I hope Sanemi will understand..." She was worried now. "He will be fine, I'm sure. Unless you want two husbands." He laughs. She turns red. "What?!" She was shocked. Kyojuro laughs again at her reaction.
