POV - Frida

Obviously now out of all times was when Cleo decided it was the perfect day to go "under the weather" as he liked to say it. Leaving him unable to accompany Frida on a special day of relaxation from all this work they've been putting in. It was bad enough that it had been a month on this forsaken upper world with very little to no contact with their master, but now they were contracting this world's diseases!

Don't get Frida wrong, they liked the upper world a little more than they wished to admit. Between the fun adventures and the trips with April it was a blast!

That was until they had to eventually remind themselves that they had a job to complete. That eventually they'd have to betray April after the kind gestures she had made for the two of them. She often wondered if this was really something she wanted to do...

It's not worth pondering on now that's for sure.

Frida took several gliding steps across the pavement with added pep in each step she scrambled to make. A smile grazed her expression and brought her cheeks up to her eyes at anybody she passed.
Sure they hung out with April plenty of times around the city but they never considered going out and actually finding their way around the place. In fact they hardly even paid attention to the direction of the places April had the kindness of showing them.

But with this new relaxation day Frida would finally get a clear view of their surroundings in the large city. Often she mentally noted a robbery here and there, as well as the dozens of stray humans that lined some of the buildings, with their rigid clothes and poor exteriors it was almost sad to find and yet so intriguing.

Still the young teenager never found herself deterred by the city. Afterall, if anything were to go wrong she had plenty of fighting skills under her belt that it felt almost unfair to anyone who tried to mess around with her.

Like right now.

Frida felt herself unexpectedly tumbling into a nearby alley that found itself right beside her in all its shadowed glory.

Dark crescent eyes stared down to her for a mere second until her instincts kicked in and she pushed the figure up and off of her with a sharp jab from both of her legs that had the person whining in a few short moments. Frida tumbled backwards into a backhandspring and landed safely on both feet in front of the creature.

"Wait!" It shouted while quickly raising its hands up in defense, "dude it's me!"
Frida's eyebrows raised in surprise and curiosity. She watched the man stand up and dip his hood down to reveal familiar tinted scales, a long snout, and a few new stickers that were placed near his cheeks in decoration.

"Mondo Gecko?" Frida questioned.

"In the flesh!" He smiled, his tail draped behind him instinctively.

"Dude! You don't sneak up on a gal from the shadows like that. Especially when we barely know each other. What gives?" She shifted from foot to foot. Trying to decide the best course of action for this scenario depending on his answer.

"Sorry, dudette. Just saw someone I knew and had to go in for the strike if you get my drip."

She planted her hand into her face briefly at his response as she almost immediately let her guard down, figuring he wasn't much of a threat as she initially thought.

"To get back on topic, I actually found another person like us! Like a mutant reptile dude." Mondo's expression twisted into delightful glee while explaining this found news.

On Frida's hand of things, she felt herself grazing a smile on her face at hearing this. I mean, another reptile mutant? Either it could be one of the turtles, or another mutant. Both seemed like good choices going forward yet she needed to ask more.
