Chapter 16

Ivy

I woke up this morning unusually full of energy. Today was my first day at Tilly's and I was beyond excited. I was ready to be a working woman so I could prove to everyone, including myself, that I could do it.

"Kellen, baby wake up!" I yelled jumping on him.

"C'mon Ivy, chill out on allat," he groaned rolling over.

"Oh no you don't mister! I've got to be to work at 9:00 and I don't want to be late, babe. Get upppp!" I whined poking him in his eyes.

He slowly opened his eyes and gave me a death glare. I giggled to myself. Kellen hated to be awaken out of his sleep.

"I'm coming Ivy, gone get dressed."

I climbed out of bed and rushed to the bathroom to get ready for the day. After taking care of my hygiene routine, brushing my teeth, and putting on a full face of make-up, I waltzed back into the room to find something to wear.

Of course Kellen was still lying in the same position I left him in. I slapped him hard on the ass before making a run for the closet.

"When I get up, I'ma tea 'dat ass up, Ivanna." I heard him grumble from the bedroom.

I smiled to myself and began picking out my outfit. I decided on wearing a fringe faux-suede skirt, with a burgundy sphagetti strap crop top, a pair of Gucci chunky tan heels with snake print ankle straps, and a suede floppy hat to top it off. I added some gold jewelry and grabbed burgundy Sophie Hulme leather bag to top it off. I did a 360- spin in my full body mirror, admiring my outfit. I must admit, I looked damn good.

"Mm, damn baby, you look good enough to eat," Kellen whispered in my ear, before taking a playful bite out of my neck. I playfully swatted at him. He wrapped his long caramel arms around my waist and buried his head in the crook of my neck.

"You smell good too, mmm."

I tooted up my nose. "But you don't, go brush your teeth nigga!"

He un-wrapped his arms from me and tilted his head back. "You foul man." He laughed walking out of the closet.

I followed behind him and took a seat on the edge of the bed.

"And don't take all day either Key! I want to be on time for work."

We pulled up to Tilly's with about 8 minutes to spare. I wasn't as early as I wanted to be, but I wasn't late either so I wasn't complaining.

"You gonna miss me while I'm at work?" I asked, turning towards Kellen.

His tongue darted out over his bottom lip, and he smirked that sexy smirk I fell in love with.

"Nah, I think I'ma enjoy 'da peace an' quiet I'ma get witcho ass gone." He joked.

I rolled my eyes. "I hate you, you know that?"

"Mhm I luh' you too, behbey. Now give me some sugar." He tooted his lips out for a kiss. I gladly obliged him. As soon as our lips connected, he thrust his tongue into my mouth and deepened the kiss. I had to pull away before things got too heavy up in here.
