Himeno blew out the smoke from her drag and she spoke up again "Soo.. came to work here because of your brother? Kind of a lame excuse if you ask me, sounds like you are begging to be killed.." She asked curiously, trying to make small talk as you two walk down the hallway.
You sighed "I know the job's deadly, but its not so simple. I have my personal reasons too."

Himeno chuckled "Ah, dont try to be all mysterious. Its some kinda revenge you're going after, right?"

You hated the fact how you were so easy to read and you just looked away

She let out a breath, smirking "What? Am i right? I swear you made it too obvious... But what kind of revenge are we talking about? Is it a devil?"

"A devil that killed my family." You blurted out, looking at her briefly.

Himeno's eyes went wide a bit as she took another drag and blew it out "Wait really?"
"Yeah well.. I never saw the devil in the first place. I came back home at the sight of my parents and younger sister flopped dead on the floor" you said with a rather neutral expression, remembering the night it all happened, but seeming unbothered. Himeno looked at you rather intrigued, and she took another drag

"You know, your situation is oddly simillar to Aki's..."
Your ears perked up as you herd her say that. And you immidiately remembered Makima telling you earlier about a guy that had a simillar backstory as you. Could Aki possibly be that guy?
"Huh? Really?"
"Oh yeah... His family got wiped out by the Gun Devil. It even blew his whole house away." She said a bit too casually, as she blew out the smoke once more.

Your eyes widened slightly as you now knew the details, feeling somewhat relieved that there's a person in your divison that you can relate to. "Whats this about the Gun Devil?" You said as you tilted your head slightly

"You dont know?" She asked as she put out her cigarette, throwing it away in a nearby trash can "Well apparently, the Gun Devil appeared 13 years ago in America. People were pretty much scared of guns, due to many murders and simillar incidents occuring. Because of that fear, the Gun Devil was formed. And the more people fear of it, the stronger it gets. It ended up destroying many cities, including Japan, with alot of victims along the way. And ever since nobody saw the devil ever again. We managed to find some leads, but we cant seem to pinpoint its location yet."

Your interest has been piqued now. You couldnt help but wonder if the Gun Devil was responsible for the death of your family. You hoped not, but, you still couldnt help but wonder.
"Maybe the Gun Devil killed my family aswell..."

"Huh? When did your family even get killed?"

"5 years ago."

"Well, then there's no way! It appeared 13 years ago, and dissapeared after. If it really came back, it would've most likely wiped out Japan all over again."

You let out a breath "I dont know, but i guess ill find out.."

Himeno then patted your shoulder reassuringly "Look maybe it did kill your family, but, most likely not. Have you ever had any leads? Or atleast some ideas?"
You sighed softly "I used to investigate and dig deeper into the case. The case of my family being murdered was closed a long time ago. Nobody bothered to investigate it, since they thought there was no point in doing so. I tried asking around, i even went as far as to stealing some files and documents and going trough them, but, not a single lead." You said dissapointingly

Himeno seemed even more intrigued now, and she couldnt help but smile just a bit "Woah, that must've been rough... And it sucks. But, hey, its never too late. Maybe you'll end up finding the truth out afterall." She gave you a reassuring thumbs up, and it made you quite relieved, and you nodded with a straight face "Thanks... It means alot."
