No one's Point of view

It is yet another cold day in Baguio, a busy session road filled with flea market vendors, the street is adorned with different chalk arts and tourists who are taking snaps for their social media accounts. A busy road meant a busy cafe for Stacey specially now that Jhoanna isn't there to accompany her in her busy shift, she took all the burden to get customer's order and making them on the spot. Aiah on the other hand took care of the trades going in and out of the cafe. Right at the moment their new worker hasn't arrived making them dizzy with their work

"Ang tagal naman yata nung pamalit kay Jho, ngayon lang ako nakapag break. Ala sais na ng gabi"

Stacey said plopping down on the couch inside the cafe's office where Aiah is currently finishing a task.

"Baka bukas daw dumating sabi ni sir. Galing pa yata sa Bicol yun eh. Hayaan mo sasabihin ko kay sir na taasan allowance mo"

Stacey's face lit up when she heard the latter's statement, although living alone she couldn't deny the fact that the cost of living in Baguio is as high as those who were in the city, minus the vegetables and fruits that she got fro free from their boss.

"Di pa rin kayo nag-uusap ni Mikha?"

"I don't think I'll speak to her anytime soon. Grabe nakita mo ba kung gaano kagalit si aling tesing sa nangyari kay Rj?"

Aiah said dismissing her work and staring back at her friend

"I mean, she did apologize pero don't you think you're being too hard? Come on she's just jealous naman"

"I don't know staku, maybe tonight I'll talk to her. After all this work I have. God buti kinakaya ni Jhoanna yung ganito araw araw?"

"Syempre may kasamang bebe time yon kaya palong palo sa trabaho. Yun nga lang exiled muna siya ngayon sa Manila"

Despite missing her lover, Stacey joked around trying to alleviate the pain of not seeing her whenever she's going  to wake up in the morning. The two were then interrupted when the office door was opened, revealing their Boss

"Oh sir, dadalaw pala kayo ngayon. Di niyo sinabi" Stacey was quick to stand up and greet him with a mano, it has been their habit to pay respect to their boss who they treat like a real father.

"Ah oo, may nag-invite kasi sa atin sa La Union. Dinner daw,  eh gusto ko sana kayong isama na dalawa, wala rin naman kasi si Jhoanna eh"

"Ngayon na sir? Grabe di man lang kami nakapag ayos"

Aiah said closing her laptop and putting it inside her bag, this is her first time being invited over a dinner by her boss, yes they were engaged before but Miguel told her that she isn't forced to go with him in any corporate dinners, hence Jhoanna is the one who usually gets invited with him.

"Aysus no need na mag-ayos. Sa beach naman yun eh. I'm sure magugustuhan niyo dun. Malay niyo bumili ako ng property"

They all laughed about the statement but the two girls know that it can happen, after all he is Miguel Lim,one of Baguio's most powerful men. After the last customer finished their food, Stacey decided to call it a day and closed the cafe earlier than usual, her boss is waiting outside and she's doesn't want him to be mad about being late.

" Settled na?" The man asked Stacey as she strapped the seatbelt around her body, it's only the two of them inside the car, Aiah brought another car and she insisted to drive separately, Miguel agreed so he and stacey ended up being on the same car with Aiah behind tailing behind them

Stacey turned on the radio inside the car and she let her tiredness consume her throughout the trip.

Miguel stared at her while she's sleeping, thinking how cute stacey is while leaning onto the window. He may not got the chance to be a father to her real children, he is happy that Stacey and Jhoanna accepted him as their father, he had known the two since they were 12 and since then Miguel is the one who took care of them so when he learned about the two girls dating he was weirded out at first thinking that maybe he didn't raised them to treat each other like siblings, despite all that, he is happy to see both of them loving each other truly.

After 30 minutes of the trip, a heavy rain has poured alarming Aiah, she's not that used to drive on slippery roads so she texted Miguel to slow down a bit, they have arrived at the most dangerous part of the road with cliffs on the side and the rain isn't helping as well. She saw that her message was seen by her boss so she just continued to drive praying that the rain would stop in any minute, after passing the first cliff Aiah felt a surge of uneasiness, she clutched the steering wheel hard, biting her lips and staring intently on the road, she has a bad feeling about this trip and she cannot pin point what it is.

On the other car, Miguel made sure to not wake stacey up despite the heavy rain pouring above them, he thought that the girl might be so worked up from earlier. He steers the car safely but as he encounter another curved road, the breaks of his car seemed to not work no matter how much pressure he puts on it

"Tangina anong nangyayari" he grunted still trying to prevent the car from accelerating downhill, he poured all his energy trying to stop the car but to no avail it didn't work. Aiah noticed it from her car so she called him, he was quick to answer the call informing Aiah to call for help

"Ibaba mo na,tumawag ka ng tulong, ayaw gumana ng breaks ko!"

He ended the call, as they approached the steep hill he pulled the handbreak but it's too late, he unbuckled his seat belt and proceeds to grab Stacey and shield her from any impact they're going to deal with, Stacey immediately shot up and  screamed in horror when she saw their car speeding downhill

"Sir! Ayoko pang mamatay!!"

"Kumapit ka stacey! Ililigtas kita!"  Miguel managed to open Stacey's side of the car, he looked ahead  behind them to see if there is another car on the road but there is none so he did what he thought could save her... Miguel pushed stacey out of the car before they even go straight to the cliff, Stacey was launched in the middle of the road, her head bumping on the asphalt. On the other hand Miguel accepted his fate going down with his car on the side of the cliff, he didn't know what went wrong....

The car managed to get caught in some branches but Miguel unfortunately got into a serious injury that made him unable to move inside his car, he screamed in pain as his car hold on to the weak branches of the tree

Aiah got out of her car and ran towards Stacey's unconscious body, she checked her pulse and it's still beating so she removed her blazer and put it on Stacey's, after this she heard their boss screaming in pain so she went to the edge, seeing the car slowly falling down

"Sir Miguel!! Malapit na yung tulong please don't move!"

"Aiah! Please tell my two daughters that I love them! I- I can't take this anymore! Please take care of Mikhaela for me!....ahhhhhh!"

He screamed as a metal tube impales him on his abdomen

"Sir hindi! Mabubuhay ka pa sir! Kumapit ka lang!"

Aiah cried out trying to boost his life but no, Miguel knew this is the end. His life flashing right before his eyes, the memory of Mikhaela and Miles replaying on his head, he smiled...he was never a good father to them...and he will never get the chance to be one... With all his energy left Miguel shouted back at Aiah

"Aiah! Please take care of my daughters...Mikhaela, Miley, Jhoanna and Stacey! Please take care of yourself as well! Mahal na mahal ko kayo!"

Aiah heard a cracking of wood indicating that the branch holding the car broke, she watched in horror as the car descended quickly into the bottom of the cliff, ending the life of his Ex-fiancé

" SIR MIGUELLL!"  Aiah cried out helplessly on the side of the road, she couldn't believe what just happened, not long after the sound of sirens echoed through the whole area, they finally arrived but at what cost? Miguel is already dead. Aiah is escorted by one of the police officers, and Stacey was brought to the hospital for treatment.

Aiah was left wondering what would happen now to her and everyone around her, now that their Boss is gone. Not only she lost a boss, she felt like she also lost a family.
