ALSO THIS IS KIND OF AN AU - THE READER AND KAMINARI ARE IN THE DESTROYED WORLD AFTER THE VILLAIN LEAGUE HAVE SUPPOSEDLY WON AND HAVE TURNED THE CITY INTO AN ALMOST POST-APOCALYPTIC WORLD FOR THE HEROES. AND THE TWO OF YOU ARE HIDING OUT TOGETHER.

The sound of a horn blaring loudly slammed into your ear drums. Jolting you out of your albeit fit full sleep. You blinked, bleary eyed as you reached for the knife by your side. The cold concrete of the alley way brushing against your fingers, sending a shock of energy up your arm.

"Y/N."

A hand grabbed your shoulder, pulling you back gently. For a moment, your reflexes kicked in, and your knife cut through the air towards the person's throat.

"Jeez! Y/N! It's me! It's Kaminari!"

Your eyes finally locked onto his face, a cheeky, though slightly nervous smile on his dirty face. His blonde hair tangled and tied back, a long scar running down his neck to his left shoulder. You let out a sigh of relief, and pulled your knife away.

"You look awful." You chuckled quietly, shifting into a crouching position as you followed him towards the end of the alley way.

"Yeah, well." Kaminari muttered back, pausing for a moment as a blasting white spotlight moved above the alley way just in front of the two of you. It slowly moved on, the whirring sound of helicopter propellers fading away, "That's what sleeping in a smokers alley will get you."

The two of you peered your heads out around the corner of the alley way, yours just above Kaminari. Under the light of flickering street lamps you could see around two or three people stumbling around. Probably too drunk to notice you and Kaminari, or at least you hoped.

You gave his shoulder a gentle squeeze. He looked up at you and smirked, before pulling you out into the street.

"But I must say, Y/N." He whispered to you he hooked his arm in yours, pulling your hood up over your head to hide your glowing eyes. He leaned closer to your ear as he completed the motion, "You're still looking as gorgeous as ever."

You felt the tips of your ears burn and you pulled your hood down further, "Not now, Kaminari."

The hero pouted comically, and rested his head on your shoulder, "Then when?"

You shook your head, smiling to yourself, "Maybe when we find another hide out that isn't a smokers alley?"

"Oh come on!" Kaminari groaned, pitching his voice quieter as the two of you passed on open bar, more drunk villains stumbling out, cheeks flushed and voices loud, "It was the best I could find around here without spending what money we have left!"
