another way

My head is pounding. What happened last night? The bright light streaming in through the curtains is far too intense. I turn over with a groan, pulling the blanket over my head. It slowly starts coming back to me... There was a Bill's band. We all had far too much to drink. I remember the jokes, laughing with them, taking more drinks. But after that, it's a blur.

I force my eyes open slightly, peering out from under the blanket. Clothes are strewn all over the floor. Not just mine... there are Bill's clothes mixed in that definitely don't belong to me. Oh right, we had... that... I remember it perfectly. I rolled onto my right side, looking at Bill's side of the bed. He wasn't there. I looked around his large room and noticed another white door. Perhaps this is some kind of storage room or something personal, so I won't go in there. I think Bill has already gone downstairs.

I got out of bed, wrapped a blanket around me, and went to his closet, taking some kind of T-shirt and the smallest pants that I found. Now I need to figure out how to face Bill. I took a deep breath and opened the door, starting to walk out.

"Are you planning to sneak out away from me, Schönheit?"

Bill's soft voice came from behind as his arms wrapped around my waist, and I felt some water droplets on my shoulders and head.

"Ah! And in my clothes?"

He gasped jokingly, placing his head on my shoulder. I turned to him and started smiling while looking at him. Damn, he only has one towel around his waist, and with his wet hair from which water was still dripping, I know I've already seen him naked, but still, something inside me protested.

I took a step back, starting to blush and smile.

"At least I'm in clothes," I pointed my finger at him and took another step back.

"Oh, come on, we just... okay, never mind."

He sighed and turned around, going to his closet for clothes, as I crawled back under the covers. Bill put on his pajamas and turned to me.

"You want to cuddle?"

He said with a soft smile, starting to come closer to the bed and crawl under the blanket, wrapping his arms around me and looking at me softly. There was just one question running through my head. I placed my head on his chest with a sigh as he placed one hand on my hair, tangling it with his fingers, and the other around my shoulders.

"Do you need to take a shower?"
He asked softly, his gaze on me.

"You've already found yourself some comfortable clothes, so I won't ask about them,"

he chuckled quietly and continued stroking my head.

"Yeah, a shower would be awesome."

He nodded and carefully lifted my head to slowly stand up and take a towel from the closet, bringing it into that room behind the white door. Oh, so this is a bathroom. He came out of the bathroom and looked at me.

"I have prepared everything here, so make yourself at home,"

he said with a soft smile, holding the door with one hand and looking at me.

I quickly got out of bed and went into the bathroom, closing the door behind me. Bill and I never talked about yesterday. Everything seemed as it should be, as if it had always been like this. I knew I should have asked about what we are now, but I just couldn't, and I didn't understand why I couldn't. My mind was lost in thoughts as drops of hot water fell on my shoulders and the top of my head.

I touched my neck to release any tension, as I felt something that really hurt - some kind of bruise or something. I turned off the water and got out of the shower, standing on a soft black rug. I went up to the foggy mirror and wiped it with my hand, examining my neck where it hurt.
