Kiyotaka didn't know whether to like this change of pace or hate it.
If he could even have emotions for that.
He looked around, scanning his surroundings as he often did. However, it wasn't often that he found himself in a place completely unknown to him, and it wasn't like him to hallucinate. But what could he say? Normally, if he were to walk down a street people wouldn't bat an eye. They would think of him as simply an average high schooler, a child on his way, dressed up in his uniform and carrying a back.
But here he was, being stared at almost like he was back being inspected in That Place. People all around him gave him a weird look, akin to one of extreme suspicion or cautious curiosity. The prospect of him being suspicious in a crowd would normally be laughed at, but this certainly wasn't an ordinary crowd.
People with all kind of colored hair even more unique than the ones he used to see in ANHS moved around him, which made his brown hair seem rather plain, by comparison. It was wonderful that even in a different world, his existence alone gave him attention he didn't desire. A pity.
Even his conventionally normal uniform stood out like a sore thumb in comparison to the robes, the armor and the clothes that the locals here wore. It was fortunate that he had managed to escape the crowds rather quickly, or he would have drawn the wrong kind of attention rather quickly.
But, how did he even get here?
"Ayanokouji-kun, what should be our strategy-"
"No." I simply answered, walking away from my so called partner, Horikita Suzune. No, the demoness would be more accurate, as she set forth on her mission to drag me into this discussion once more. I quickly turned to the right, dodging Horikita as she completely rushed past me, nearly falling to the floor.
"Ayanokouji-kun get back here!"
"I decline." I calmly responded, taking another turn as I descended down a flight of stairs. A vengeful Horikita gave chase, jumping down steps like she was playing a game of hop scotch.
'She can do that? Both Horikitas are relentless.' I thought to myself as I continued to calmly walk down, looking behind as I watched Horikita hop 5 steps at a time, rapidly descending on me like that time a demonic crow stole my ice cream. I recalled how I had then brutally crushed said crow till it was dead, then decimated every crow in ANHS.
'I need to protect ice cream chan from this thieving demon- no I need to protect myself from her flying compass.' I realized, tilting my head as the compass flew straight past me and onto the ground. I rushed forward towards the door, opening it as I looked back at Horikita.
"I won't let you escape!" Horikita yelled out. " I'll even make you more food and buy ice cream for you."
'No, her food tricks will never faze me again, nor will she ever corrupt my ice-cream chan with her darkness.' I quickly stepped through the door, and that was when everything changed.
