The White Whale.

Ryuuen POV: 

Why was this world so damn fucked up? I sighed, frowning as I stared into the bonfire. 

Everyone was in this world was either a half naked woman, femboy or a furry like what the fuck?! 

And everyone besides that we had to kill. 

I turn my head, watching half heartedly as they discussed plans with the guy we had just met, Otto. I didn't pay too much attention to it. I had more important things in my mind. That bastard, Ayanokouji. Maybe I give a bit too much of a shit about him now? It felt odd to say that. I have always lived a life of violence, of cunning. The strong prey on the weak, that type of thing. I don't regret a single second. I'm a generational badass because I learnt it since childhood. 

But that guy? He had it really fucking worse. 

I chuckled to myself. I never thought I would pity the bastard. To call all that shit rough would be an understatement. He went through all that, and he's free now. He should just fuck off and do whatever he wants. I can handle all this life saving shit. Besides, if I keep at it, I might just get a shit ton of money and a hot wife for myself.  That bastard will take all the women away with him too if he stays. 

"Ah, what a joke." I mutter. I probably went too far when I talked to the bastard earlier. It's not like he knows any better. Even as I say that, I know that he'll think about it. 

I'm happy you're helping Ayanokouji-kun out, Ryuuen-kun. 

Once again, that odd familiar feeling came back to me. I swear, I know this voice, I just can't tell who it belongs too. Come on Ryuuen, think carefully. I let the flame of the bonfire dance on my hand, idly concentrating on controlling my power as I pondered over the possibilities. Try as I might, I just couldn't recall whose voice it was. Fucking hell-

"We're moving." Ayanokouji called out to me, as he hopped onto a carriage. I sighed, and jumped in after him. "We're riding in the middle. Subaru and Rem will be taking the front." 

"You're planning to let him die again huh?" I chuckled. "Why? Is your phone low on battery? Do you want to play a game?" 

...

"Wait, seriously?" I asked.

"No." Ayanokouji said. With his bland tone, I couldn't tell if he was lying or being honest. I shrugged it off, and looked ahead. It felt different, ever since that last Return by death. I had died, along with Subaru. Of course, I got stronger as well, but the idea of having died...well it wasn't exactly easy to process. That poor boy Subaru must be really fucking traumatized. My eyes glowed faintly, as I used my enhanced sight to keep an eye on the road. A dark figure moved in the distance, a huge dark figure. 

"Something's coming." I tell Kiyotaka. "Something really big." Kiyotaka nods, and grabs me by the shoulder. We jump up, landing on a branch with a good view ahead, as the rest continued. 

"We're at the edge of the forest. Both of us should have enough enhanced eyesight to see everything from here." He said, recording a video as dull white fog seeped into the night. I look in that direction, watching carefully. Even through the fog, I could tell there was something undoubtedly huge moving within. The figure slowly came into clarity. A large white shape was all I saw first, but it slowly got clearer. Even from this distance, a giant yellow eye faintly glowed in the dark night sky.  

"Well I'll be damned." I muttered. "I didn't know they made whales that fucking fat." 

That's the White Whale, Ryuuen-kun. 

"That's the White Whale." Ayanokouji spoke in unison with the voice. "It's dangerous." I raised an eyebrow at that. If he was calling it dangerous, then it must really be a threat.
