"How do you want to do this Subaru?" I asked him, pointing to the three bandits in front of us. I looked over at him, not sure what to do. This was our second attempt, since the first time he quite literally walked into a knife. So far, he doesn't know that I rewind with him, which is a good thing. Beyond that, I introduced and reintroduced myself to him, wearing my ANHS uniform again to make it seem more convincing. I had also returned everything, including my blades, my gun and my cloak into the pouch, to make me seem normal to him.
I had also managed to check, and as expected, belongings do not travel back in time with Subaru. I had lost a gold coin because of this, but this also means that if Subaru simply rewinds back in time, then I can sell his flip phone as many times as required to get more coins. That alone should be satisfactory. Beyond that, my trip through the loop had also confirmed for me that not only do I go through the loop with my belongings, but every time that I do, all the objects on my person will be returned to their optimal conditions, even if they were not in those conditions before the loop.
"Fighting will take too long, and it's risky since neither of us have weapons." Subaru responded to me. I stared at him.
"You are just saying that because you unintentionally walked into his knife and killed yourself last time."
"No I did not!"
"Yes you did." I looked at him. Is he really that embarrassed by it? It was just a mistake. If I were in his place, I would constantly test what can kill me and grow strong enough to bypass it. Because there is magic in this world, I am sure one of my death experiences could help me awaken it.
But, I don't know if I come back when I die. So far, I can only confirm that it is Subaru's death that sends us back in time, not mine since I am yet to be killed.
"What is the plan?" I asked him once again. For now, I should let him take charge. I can reveal myself and become his savior so he trusts me later.
"HELP!! Guards!!" Subaru yelled into the sky. "Guards! Somebody help!" He looked at me.
"Dude." He glared at me. "You also yell."
"Guards?"
"It's not a question you idiot!"
"No one appeared." I looked around, observing. Subaru sighed, as the bandits began laughing.
"Heh, looks like nobody heard. You had me scared there for a second."
"Now let's end this quickly."
Wait, someone was coming. I didn't move my body, but I could sense someone's presence at a distance away, quickly closing in. It seems like even my body's and mind's ability of perception has increased greatly. As I spend more time in a loop, I learn more about my body. Heightened physical abilities was understandable, but heightened perception and senses as well? Now that I concentrated on it, I could sense a lot more.
I could sense presences in a large radius around me, almost as if I was directly looking at them. It was not like a feeling of being watched, it was like I had access to CCTV cameras. I could feel myself almost visualizing who was close and who wasn't. My body and my senses seem to have grown beyond even my prime, and I will only get to understand the full scope of my abilities as I push myself. But that begs another question.
If my death made my body and senses stronger...did it also affect my mind? If so, am I a cut above my past self in intelligence as well? That does not seem to be the case for now. Only physical aspects of my body have become stronger. I need to wait and gather more information if I am to form a clear conclusion.
