Anyways, I thought the new season of Netflix coinciding so well with the ending of 'Breathe' was all the more reason to start S2 book. I mean- considering I first thought about this story turning into a fanfic as I watched S2, it's only right that now S3 inspires Anthony's love story.
I have always known I wanted to write a story as special as Carina's for Anthony. Daphne will-sadly- be piggybacking off of both her eldest brother and sister's stories for her own love story. (Or maybe not, you never know).
I had however, not planned to set the plot in the same universe as Carina's. Initially I thought that 'Breathe' would be a standalone and any other Bridgerton books I write will be unrelated to it on all terms.
But somehow, it just feels right to continue this as a series. Even now, I'm not sure if it's the best idea, but I just feel like this was meant to be- so I'm doing this. I just am so grateful for all the love you guys showered Carina and her journey with and hope that you continue to do so.
It will surely be a while before I post the book though, I would like to have a few chapters written before I commit to publishing it. And there are a lot of details that need to be straightened out before.
I'm still unsure about a few basic fundamentals though. Like Anthony's love interest.
* On one hand, Kanthony is so iconic and perfect, I do not want to mess that up. But there were some plots I would like to remove (I hate when 3rd parties are involved, any form of cheating breaks me), and tbh I'm so excited to see what my take on the story might be.
* Then there is the concept of the character's race in question. As an Indian myself, writing a main lead like that is a dream, something I was looking forward to while thinking about Anthony's story arch. Also, certainly I'm sorry but no white lady can handle him fr, especially not during that era, my man was dumb af and definitely needs someone who will actually knock him down a couple pegs.
But then again, I do not wanna just add another sister in the Sharma family like I did with Bridgerton. That's just lack of creativity and a sign of carelessness. Yet idk how to include another Indian character in and have them blend in with the story enough to have a smooth transition with the Sharma's.
* I could certainly have Kate Sharma be my main lead, that is the one solution I see right now. But this means no offense to Kate but that just doesn't match my vision for my main lead. The whole concept and plot is based on some 'characteristics' that Kate does not match with her reputation and personality.
All in all, I'm VERY confused about some stuff and it will take a long time for me to be ready with it. Any and all of your suggestions are welcome (and strongly encouraged) for the upcoming book. Use the comment section on this para to suggest any solution to the main lead problem. Or any certain scenes, interactions, etc. you would like to witness with Anthony and his mystery lady (yes I haven't even settled on a name). Anything you would like to suggest, you're welcome to. I love reading you guys' comments so pls comment more!
