brady's pov

i looked around for rory as i paid less attention to the conversation between my friends. one of them nudges my arm, catching back my attention.
"you good?"
"uh...yea, i just need to find someone," i say, excusing myself.
i squeezed past a bunch of people as i looked around for rory. i realised i hadn't seen her since we arrived and honestly i was getting bored so i wanted to go home. connor was off socialising with other people but i chose to just find him later.
i manage to get outside as the wind hits my face, relieving me from the heat in the house. i see rory sitting on a bench with logan. i felt my gaze harden as i looked over at them. logan had his arm around her shoulder and she was laughing. what was she laughing at? what was could he say that was so funny?
i didn't trust logan with her. he was always out for one thing in girls and dumps them when he loses interest, which is usually quite often.
i walk up to them, her laughter softening as they turn to me.
"rory, we're going back," i say harshly, not directed to her but to him. i glance from her to logan, giving him a glare.
"we just got here?" she says knitting her brows together.
"this party's boring anyway. let's just go," i excuse.
"ouch, my party's boring? but if rory wants to stay, i can send her home," logan offers, and i could practically hear the smirk in voice.
i open my mouth to protest but rory beats me to it. "im okay with that."
"wha-"
"great, see ya brady," he waves at me. rory raises her brows at me when i hadn't left. i give up, turning around to leave. i was uncomfortable with the fact i left her with him.
----
as i was in the car driving home with connor he notices how quiet i'd been.
"what up with you?"
i sigh, keeping my grip on the steering wheel."rory is hanging out with...logan," his name bitter on the tip of my tongue.
he snorts, taking me off guard as i send him an offended look." sounds like you're jealous."
"i'm not jealous. logan's just a dick, is it wrong i don't want her to be with him. i wouldn't wish tht on anyone," i explain to him, and to myself.
"so you're saying you care about her...okay noted," he grins.
i roll my eyes, knowing his teasing wouldn't stop so i dropped the topic. however, the whole night i couldn't stop thinking about it. i didn't know if she was home yet, if he have sent her home yet or if she was okay.
i tried to push aside the thoughts that clouded my mind and tried to get some sleep.
pheebs note- SOO...
