It was freezing cold and thundering with rain on the night of March 26th in 1791, the night that a girl with pale hair came crying into the world. Her parents —overjoyed— named her Juniper. After the juniper tree, representing; strength, wisdom and beauty .
Juniper was born into a family of witches as the first and only child of her parents. The elder witches of the LaRue coven warned her parents of her power when they found out she was not a 'normal' witch, but a siphoner; an abomination in their eyes. Stealing the magic of other witches at a mere touch was unacceptable and they felt threatened by the child. At only a week old whilst she was a smiling baby girl in her crib. . . they were scared she would steal their magic and rebel against them when she would grow older.
Her parents tried their best to raise her as well as they could and teach her to control her. . . gift, but as Juniper grew older she noticed that her parents too, showed their fear of her power, of her. As much as they tried to hide it, Juniper could see how they cowered away as she walked too close to them, or how they stilled in fear whenever she touched them. After noticing that she didn't like touch anymore.
At eleven years old, Juniper had her first vision. A vision of an older version of herself waking up in a world she did not recognise. When she shared this with her coven they call her mad, and maybe she was. She was starting to believe every word they said about her.
Each year she grew more powerful than the last, adorning powers a normal witch could only dream of posessing. . . the elders fear of her becoming more powerful than them was coming true.
The LaRue coven felt as if the only thing they could do to contain her power was to subdue her. Seeing as her parents insisted on not killing her, the elders thought that maybe putting her in to a deep sleep was more humane? How wrong they were.
They sent her far away sleeping in a coffin hoping that no one would ever break their spell and wake the monster that they believe,
is Juniper LaRue.

Hello! thank you so much for reading this book
this is my first time writing anything and i am kind of nervous about publishing this, but i've had this idea in my head for a long time and i couldn't find any fanfics with this plot so i thought i'd take the matter into my own hands.
and i just wanted to have an excuse to use the amazing Emma D'arcy as a fancast because i love them! especially as Rhaenyra in Hotd, they just give off this vibe that i think would be perfect for a mysterious powerful witch.
as you can see in the above, Kol will be the love interest in this book. Now i don't support Nate Buzz's actions at ALL so feel free to imagine him as literally anyone else!
My first language is not English so there will definitely be some spelling mistakes in this book, feel free to correct me if you see them.
i have no idea if i'll be consistent in publishing chapters or if i'll keep my motivation to write, but for now i'm excited to continue the story of my girl Juno! she is a badass and i love her.
I hope you will all enjoy the story of Juniper LaRue
EDIT:
9-9-24
If you're reading this then i've been changing some plotholes/ minor details in chapters one through ten because they annoyed me.
sorry for the notifications you're about to get!
